We had booked 3 nights. When we arrived to the hotel the owner had not room for us. We have to sleep in other hotel one night and another 2 nights in the Toscana. The owner is not friendly. Avoid this place.

One of our best stays in Thailand
Absolutely loved our stay here! Booked 3 nights and ended up booking an extra night. Comfiest beds in Thailand so far and for a resonable price. The pool was really nice and the service was impeccable!

Good hotel with swimming pool
It's a good hotel, with a not bad condiions. The personal is nice and the localization is about 20min from the center. We use a motorcycle. They have a swimming pool.

It's a good hotel, good condition and not bad cleanliness. It's on a place that you need somthig to move, motorcycle or taxi, or, you can walk about 15-20min. It has a good swimmif pool to!

Budget hotel in somewhat disappointing state...
We chose the Toscana for its budget prices, but we were somewhat disappointed when we arrived to see the state of the place. Judging from the photos online it seemed OK, but this was definitely the less attractive hotel we stayed in during our Thailand vacation. The rooms are spacious but in need of refurbishment/upgrade. The cafe/restaurant is pricy. We payed THB 120 for a cup of tea and a coffee, which is what you can get an entire breakfast for one person in town. The pool was not inviting either. The location is not great either, but this was expected at this price.

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Mae Haad pier. It's in a quiet location. The room was spacious & the bed was comfortable. The wifi was good. The staff was very friendly. Nice hotel for the money.

Hidden paradise
Toscana is in really close walking distance towards prettying much everything yet tucked up a hill away from all the noise and parties. The pool is amazing, overlooking palms and the nature of Koh Tao. Plenty of privacy. The beds are very comfortable.

Most of the staff was nice, with the exception of the older woman being very rude. Room was spacious and fairly clean. The room was dated, bit the bed was soft. Be sure to drop your key at the desk if you want them to clean your room.

Holiday experience, backpacker prices- good value!
This is a lovely hotel for the price! Really good value. We have been travelling for 5 months and this was one of th best rooms and hotels. However, Internet wasn't great- might be island problem though! Also it was quite far from the beach and bars. It's ok if you are planning on having hiring a scooter but we weren't as we had a couple of scares! So we had to hire push bikes as it was too far to walk and taxis were so expensive!!! Push bikes worked well but not many places hire them out and it's a hilly ride. Overall really nice hotel that felt like we were on holiday rather than backpackers

I booked a week at Toscana for dive training that never eventuated due to health reasons. 40 minutes walk from Sairee beach, and 15-20 from the south coast. If you are doing a dive cert with one of the southern companies, or you dont mind walking or taxiing, or just want to vegetate this is a good option. They have fox movies which is repetitive and bbc, and some thai channel Maintenance was underway so loud angle grinding by the nice young guy. But this never happened before 9 or 10am. The pool is nice. You can watch geckoes chasing flies at night or squirrels in the trees below. This is a quiet private couples type vibe. The restaurant and bar was never busy and dinner was not available after about 6.30. The manageress handles the cooking from what i saw. She is friendly,perhaps comes off as officious, but they didn't overcharge me, or ever give me anything but polite service. They dropped me off for free at the pier at the end and probably do a free pickup. The rooms look like the pics. No surprise. harmless ants were using one wall of the bathroom to get from a to b To avoid rain. store food and waste in fridge. dont eat in bed. Or you will have company I was menaced one night by a dog just down the road and attacks are not infrequent so beware if you want to walk at night. Dogs have also nipped scooter riders. give them distance, keep eye contact etc. Lots ride scooter, beware scams, get you int.licence prior. If you bowl someone without might get 20 years holiday

Staff not friendly. Bad water pressure. Rain water leaked in through door. Wifi was down. DO NOT pay extra for the breakfast. It's not really a buffet as claimed. Bed was very comfortable.

Hotel is good and rooms are good. Stay was pleasant. However, customer service needs improvement. For example, shuttle service to ferry pier is twice per day. No mention of that till you get to hotel. Many customer unfriendly policies. Keep expectations low and this is a good place to stay.

Best bed I have slept in since traveling for 5 months! Close to 7-11, nice little restaurant that serves local thai food. Turn left when you exit hotel and walk for about 5 min and it's on your left. Just up the hill. Excellent food and cheap! You won't get gringoed there. Room was cleaned everyday. The only issue is they didn't pick me up from the pier even after confirming in email. If this happens don't get ripped off by taxis. I got them down to 100thb. You could walk though. Maybe 15min from pier.

the best part of our stay here was the bang for your buck. great staff. awesome bartender! a small step up for backpackers. a great price for koh tao if youre looking for a scuba snorkel adventure. unbelievably beautiful island. no safes in the room (which was brutal) but other than that - all good. you'll need an atv or motorbike to get around the dirt roads but thats par for the course here. its across the street from a giant bar called Castle that bumps house music till 6am+ but that's only once a week on saturdays i believe.

Quiet and comfortable
The hotel seemed to be newly built. It was a lovely getaway after the noise and bustle of Sairee beach. There were quiet restaurants and bars close by, but if you want more lively it's probably not the place. Close to Chalok Ban and the beautiful Shark bay, the hotel driver took us to and from for a small fee. The room was clean and big, bathroom was lovely. Downside was their restaurant wasn't open so we could not ever eat there which was inconvenient.

Nice place, bar closed early and a little out the way from the beach.. But nice pool, nice rooms and over all very good. I would stay again but the only problem is getting a taxi. They only want to take you when they are full, and charge you per person... But this is not the hotels fault..
