Great place to stay in Kolkata- thoroughly recommend. Not easy to find but once you do the location is good, rooms are lovely, sun terrace and guest lounge great as are breakfasts.
Stay out of central Kolkata and try Ballygunge instead!

I can not fault this place. In addition to being clean, the rooms have a fresh and tasteful decor. The staff are very friendly and helpful and duty managers are fluent in English. I was due to stop 2 nights but extended as it was a perfect place for me to sleep off my jetlag. The place is located in a quiet ally just behind a busy road junction in South Kolkata so you have the balance of peace with access to a main road with readily available amenities.

I did not spend a single night in this bed and breakfast facility.
I now understand why the owner collected the payment upfront at time of booking.
Expedia, you should be more discerning to list this property in your recommendation.

家庭的な雰囲気があり、とてもよかった。但し、メインロードからかなり奥に入って、家が建っているために、車で行っても、見つけにくいという難点がある。

We stayed in the King Room and it was fantastic. The room and bathroom were incredibly clean and by far the nicest place we’ve ever stayed in India. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the room was very quiet. Apparently the beds in the downstairs rooms are even more comfortable but I don’t see how this is possible.
The decor of the whole place is great and feels very homely.
The breakfast policy is help yourself but Sunil is also very happy to make you eggs or toast. It’s great as you can make a cup of tea anytime and really relax.
The roof terrace is lovely but it was just too warm to sit there in the day as it was about 40 degrees.
We spent 3 lovely nights there and are booked to spend another 2 nights when we return to Kolkata.
If only there were more places like this in India.

Lovely place, nice staff , super cleane room and they have a share space for cooking and also a movie room (don’t forget to bring Hdmi cable) the best bnb you can get in kolkata. Did i mention a super chill rooftop :)

Comfortable hotel near Ballygunge Phari
Publié le 8 déc. 2018 sur HotelsThis place is a hidden gem. Very tastefully remodeled, clean and well serviced rooms. Beds are clean and of good quality. Approach road to the hotel may be bit tricky to find for the first time, but it is easily accessible from the main road. Highly recommended!
