Many shared amenities await you, such as several tennis courts, two swimming pools, a hot tub, several large gas bar-b-ques conveniently scattered around the grounds, and beautiful ocean views that can be captured while walking the grounds of Poipu Kai resort. This is the perfect spot to slip into vacation mode.

This condo is located just a two-minute walk from Brennecke's Beach, which is an excellent boogie boarding beach for the experienced boogie boarder or body surfer. Or take just a short walk to Poipu Beach for a children's swim area, playground, and excellent snorkeling. You will be a quick drive from local dining and shopping spots to provide you with everything you need at your fingertips.

This unit is situated on the ground floor with a garden view where you can watch and feed the birds if you choose, while enjoying an outdoor meal or drink. If you'd like an ocean view, simply walk up to the loft level and enjoy a second lanai for wonderful additional vistas.

Start your day with a game of tennis on the shared courts (small additional fee) , then head down to the beach. Cool off in one of the shared pools, then make a delicious meal with local ingredients in the fully equipped kitchen. Weather the best, location great, unit needs refresh/maint., management the worst
Have been going to Kauai for years now and love it. We were happy to find this unit for our stay date. We swallowed hard + paid the price after looking at all the management add on fees. The payment check in process was smooth as was the arrival check in. Had a msg prior to arrival that electrical service work was being done at the resort during our stay + the power would be off for a large portion of a day so a day rental would be refunded which was fair. We went into the unit + we could see the unit needed a reno and basic maint. and thorough indepth cleaning. We could see spider webs in the corners of various windows/walls with dead insects. Bar stools at the kitchen island were very dirty+ stained+ in disrepair, dangerous to sit on. There were window blinds that were missing, other blinds were non-functional. the fridge, a replacement, white, was stained + looked terrible. In moving to the Lanai it was plain to see it had not been cleaned for months as the cobwebs, bird excrement was extreme. we spent the most of the first day trying to bring the unit to a level we could feel comfortable with after going out and buy cleaning products. we attempted to clean the lanai but the outside hose was in disrepair and not usable for the whole trip. We advised MGR VACASA and little was done even after their cleaner arrived. We have seen been ghosted by VACASA in our attempts for compensation for the poor cleaning/maint. of the unit. Stay away from anything mang. by VACASA!

Great Location, Burning Hot
The location of the property was excellent. Very short walk to the beach, pool, and food. Awesome location. What was not awesome was how hot the Condo was all day and night long. There is no Air Conditioning. I am not sure if the listing specifically noted this. We are from Arizona so we are used to the heat, but this was unbearable. Our first purchase on the island was a $450 portable air conditioner (which did not help). We had 3 kids with us, so this just made it more difficult. We asked for a transfer to another location and just got response text messages from the manager noting they their call volume is high. We did not want to be at the condo and would ride in the van to get a break from the heat...it made our trip pretty miserable. We tried cooking there once, but the heat in the kitchen was too much. Also, the condo pool is very nice and clean with a great view of the ocean (much better than shown on the photos). But...the condo has many senior residents who do not like the short-term renters. They are not nice and do not like you there, so it was not fun there with our kids because they kept giving us bad looks and staring at us. Also, the furniture and overall décor is very dated with lots of stains and scuff marks. The place could use a good cleaning and overhaul. The place did include lots of beach toys, chairs, towels, etc. That was very nice. The dryer did not really dry anything, so it took 3+ cycles to have the towels dry.

Good stay, amazing location!
My family and I had a great stay at this property! The location can’t be beat, just a short walk to the beach and pool. Word of warning, the loft area gets quite hot, there are a lot of fans provided though. Overall, great place to stay!

Walk to Poipu Beach
This lovely home is well located a short walk to Brenneke’s Beach and Poipu Beach. It also is close to the pool. We especially liked the very private patio in back that faces palm trees and plumeria trees. The upstairs loft has a rooftop patio with a slice of an ocean view and is a nice place to relax. The only warning is that there are two stairs from the entry hallway down to the sunken living room. When descending the carpeted stairs from the loft there are two additional uncarpeted stairs that lead to the sunken living room that can catch you off guard. (My husband actually fell on the first day of our stay.) Otherwise we had everything we needed and really enjoyed our stay at Manualoha 201.

It was a nice place in a community of what seemed like other vacationers. There was no AC which was only a big problem on night. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom. The upstairs room would have been way too hot. We really enjoyed the outside areas. It was really like looking at the stars from the balcony.

Just like visiting grandma's place
When we arrived, there was a burst water pipe outside the apartment, and no running water in the property for a day or so. We had to shower outdoors at the pool and carry containers of water back to the flat to brush teeth, etc. There was no flushing water either, and no one came to tell us when the water supply had been fixed. The unit itself is comfortable, but with no aircon, it gets stuffy, even with fans. The flat is spacious and homey, if a bit tired and in need of an upgrade. The kitchen is fully equipped. You get the sense that many a large family dinner and gathering was held in the property. It has a homey feel akin to one's grandparents' place. A big negative was we left a gift for my son in the drawer in the bedroom, and this was either stolen by Vacasa-related staff, or by the tenant that occupied the apartment after us. I phoned Vacasa after we checked out and they refused to "bother" the guests with a simple "have you found the item?", which possibly lead to the theft. Vacasa remained defensive, unapologetic and unsympathetic throughout. I would not recommend any property managed by Vacasa. You have been warned! Aloha.
