Stunning 2 Bedroom Luxury Cottage 300 feet from Poipu Beach Park

This custom designed Hawaiian plantation style cottage is located just off the Brennecke's beach side of Poipu Beach Park, 100 steps to the beach!

This spacious house was designed and built in 2013 to be the perfect vacation retreat - its plantation style allows it to blend in with the historic neighborhood, while offering every modern luxury. Outside is a barbeque grilling area, a garden shower accessible from either the master bath or from outside, and under the Plumeria Tree is a landscaped 5 person hot springs style hot tub. Enjoy the 2 master, air conditioned, suites with plush king beds, flat screen TVs, pedestal tub, and outdoor garden shower, and full size front load washer and dryer. The open plan great room opens up to the large lanai with 22 feet of 8' high folding doors, and the 9 1/2 foot high walls, vaulted ceilings, large double hung windows, and ceiling fans keep the place breezy and cool. Both bedrooms are air conditioned to keep you comfortable all night long. The kitchen is equipped with a full sized french door refrigerator, whisper quiet dishwasher, gas range, walk-in pantry, granite counters, open shelving, and fully stocked. The sound system through out the living area as well as the lanai is set up for surround sound TV watching, listening to Pandora, or you can wirelessly listen to your own music collection from your smartphone. Perfection in Po'ipū
Perfection might seem like hyperbole in a review, but really that is all that comes to mind with respect to our stay. We were fortunate to book 3 weeks at the Beach Cottage, and so glad we did.The Location: 5 min stroll (1/2 block) to some of our favorite beaches on the island, for surf, turtles, snorkling, sunsets...everything. 2 min to the Maha'ulepu Heritage trail - three miles of paved path and green space for walking and cliffside trail for hiking / running. Multiple restaurants to walk to, but easy access to Koloa Old Town and Lihue. We love the south side of Kauai, and really challenging to think of a more perfect location.The Cottage: Beautifully crafted plantation style beach home. Easy living - perfect for a short or long stay. Indoor/Outdoor design is perfect for the location and weather, kitchen well outfitted, design and decor all super lovely and tasteful. Lots of other amenities like beach chairs, boogie boards, sun chairs, outdoor furniture, grill, hottub...all loved and used during the three weeks.The Hosts: Just super great people - you will love them. Super responsive and considerate - absolutely no issues with communication. Went out of their way to provide a few things to make our travel and stay easier for us to manage, and they provide great recommendations and Kauai "inside baseball" along the way. We used the included Poipu Athletic Club every day.Many thanks for the stay and lovely accommodations. We cannot wait to return.

Great location and clean!
We loved staying at this location and would stay again. There was no communication before we arrived and had some trouble finding the property at first. There is not great reception so make sure to find out where you need to go and the code to the door before arriving. The rooms and kitchen had most everything you would need, however get coffee if you need it and shampoo/body soap. Very little things that would not stop me from staying again!

We’ve stayed at a lot of properties and this one tops ‘em all. Great location, well maintained, well appointed, decorated flawlessly. So fun to go for body surf down the street then enjoy a cocktail on the lanai. We will be back!

We almost didn’t want to review because it was that great. Clean beautiful priced right all amenities were high end. It was just wonderful. The beach was at the end of a dead end street. The plantation house was a work of art. It was like living in a dream. I finally found heaven on earth, not to mention how nice the owners were.

The cottage is perfectly positioned half a block from the beach where the turtles come up every evening at sunset to sleep on Poipu beach. It is a 12 minute or so walk along a lighted path to the Hyatt. The cottage is very well equipped and the windows between the living area and the lanai accordion open so outside / inside flow together. We will certainly be back!

Chillin’ by the Sea on the Lanai’!
Such a comfortable and beautiful cottage! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed all the home’s amenities, especially the breezy and spacious Lanai! Parking would be tight for big vehicles and the outdoor online photos show a wider neighborhood than reality. But all and all, an awesome place! We hope to make another visit in the future! Mahalo!

Wonderful vacation home
We had a lovely time at this property. It's so close to the beach and very quiet. It was very clean and well-appointed. We got great use out of the cooler bag in the pantry, and the chairs and towels. It's a lovely home with beautiful artwork. Notice that there is no AC in the main rooms, but both bedrooms have it. We were happy for that as it was very warm while we were there. The owners are very helpful and nearby if you need anything. The beds were quite comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked, too. The outdoor shower is great! We did not use the hot tub. We will definitely recommend. Thank you!

Perfect Cottage at Poipu Beach!
This VRBO rental was absolutely perfect! It is clean, well appointed and beautifully decorated. The lanai is particularly exceptional and our hosts could nit have been more welcoming. It is walking distance to good food, drinks, sea turtles, seals and the beach. We loved our stay at this gorgeous gem!! Well worth the money for certain!

Gorgeous beach cottage. I don't have a single complaint. The place was clean and comfortable. It had a very homelike feeling. The location was fantastic as well. Plenty of beaches, restaurants, and shops in walking distance, or 5-10 min drive. We loved our stay, and didn't want to leave. As a side note - So many Sea Turtles at Poipu Beach!!! It was really cool.
