They might double book your prepaid room

They double-booked the 1st night of our 4-night stay. We showed up to find out that our family has NO PLACE TO STAY! Their 3rd party booking company called but did not leave a voicemail. I thought this was the VRBO renter calling and I wasn’t worried about it since I thought that I had secured a booking (and prepaid in advance). Hotels.com has not given me a refund yet. But, I’ve only had 4 emails and 2 long phone calls with them. With low customer service standards I should have to try harder!
