Isolated without food

The Chill is a long way from town and booking a Grab taxi was very challenging with one waiting times. There are no restaurants close by and the hotel restaurant is only open for 2 hours in the morning to serve breakfast. I cannot recommend this otherwise excellent hotel unless you have your own transport.

Outstanding value for money

Outstanding value for money. 120 Bahts/£3 away from Krabi town by Grab taxi. Modern architectural build, well designed and serving a nice mix of families, couples, singles (me) and nationalities. Try and get a poolside room if you can (there are only 4) you cant beat sliding into a cool swimming pool right on your doorstep, just after your morning coffee. Staff are brilliant. Restaurant was closed, methinks they're losing a revenue stream there given the hotel always had a fully booked sign on reception. Food can be ordered and delivered faster than any room service in the more salubrious establishments, and for a quarter of the price, so fear not you will be fed. For less than the price of a Travelodge, Id give this 11/10 if I could.

The Chill is a really nice and modern hotel. We enjoyed our stay here especially the pool! We were on our honeymoon and they covered the bed with petals! The location is quite a long way from anything - 10 minute motorbike drive to Krabi town and 20 minutes from Ao Nang Beach. Breakfast was really terrible sorry! Would have been nice to just have some toast or cereal instead.

Good for the price

Good for the price, about 5 klms from Krabi town so you need a bike or use the baht bus. Made of concrete so was a bit noisy. Staff very good

The rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice. It’s out of the way but not completely removed from the action, Krabi town is about 10 minutes and Ao Nang is about 15-20 by cab. Those costs do add up but it the property was quiet and the view of the jungle and cliffs was breathtaking, and that’s not something you can get from a city hotel. The breakfast was good but I can see it getting old if you’re staying for an extended period of time. All in all we enjoyed our stay here and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet little nook for their tropical getaway.

You really do “chill” here. It’s slightly further out of Krabi Town than expected but it was pure bliss, it was so quiet and so easy to relax and the pool was lovely to come back to after we did the hike up Dragon Crest Mountain and 1,260 steps up to Tiger Cave Temple (which the hotel organised taxis for both there and back)!

This is a relatively new hotel so is therefore modern and extremely clean. It’s not in the heart of the Krabi tourist area, but if you have a car or a bike it’s only a 5 minute ride to the waterfront area. What you lose in terms of being a bit further away is more than offset by the quality of the room and the peaceful surroundings (except for the door alarms, but more on that later). The room rates represent Exceptional value. I recall from memory that my room was only around $45AUD (via Expedia) and that was in peak season. The rooms are a good size, nice and bright and the a/c works well. The hot water unit in the shower is instantaneous so you won’t get a long hot shower, but it’s enough. The bed was easily the best I slept in for my whole three weeks of travel. Not hard as a rock, well padded and super comfortable without being too soft. The friendly reception team gave me a warm welcome every time I walked through reception and were always helpful. The only downside? Noisy hallways and door alarms that echoed down the hall when inconsiderate people deliberately left their doors open. Why not ask for a second key card? I’d gladly stay here again and recommend it to people who want a clean modern hotel at very affordable rates.
