We paid hotel taxes through Expedia when we booked our room. When we got to the airport, we were stopped by two men that told us that we had to pay a tax at the airport. I ask what the tax was for and they said because people that stay in condominiums don’t pay the hotel tax so Everybody has to pay it. I told them I could show them where I had paid the hotel tax but they charged us $150 anyway before they were even let us enter the airport. We had to charge it on our charge card and this is out rages to have to pay the hotel tax twice I would like somebody to call me about this. My number is 361-758-2028 and my email is. Bfarrier@yahoo.com. The hotel was nice and we got the room we want it. They took a $500 deposit on our charge card as soon as we got there . we had to leave at 4 AM on the 29th so we were told to come back at 5 o’clock on the 28th and take care of our bill. They told us we owe $259. I said take it out of our $500 deposit and they say they would, but checking my credit card statement but they charged us the $259 on our charge card anyway.

Stuff very friendly . Location is beautiful . It is a no frills 3 star hotel, but it is facing the sea , views are spectacular . Restaurant on site or 5 min drive .
Reef is to die for next to the shore for snorkeling

Vriendelijk personeel en Amerikaanse service.
Elke dag schoonmaak, handdoeken wissel en badhanddoeken wissel.

Captain Don’s was ideal in every way: clean rooms, fantastic dive staff, perfect location. Perfect place to stay for divers. We will be back!

Great resort. Both dive shops were extremely helpful. The house reef is on of the best on Bonaire. Will stay there again.
