No luxury, but worth the price
No luxury but you really get what you pay for. Our room was big, not very cosy, but clean and the beds were good. A simple but nice breakfast - typical Norwegian. The hotel is located in the city center and close to "everything".

Basic but clean
Needed a cheap hotel room for a short stay in Kristiansand. Smooth check-in. Helpful staff. Basic but clean room. Bed was good to sleep in. Small bathroom with a powerful shower. Continental breakfast included, with hardboiled and softboiled eggs. A supermarket just besides the hotel. Central location near the bus and train station. Could stay here again.

Disappointing
The breakfast was so disappointing. You don’t pay so much and virtually get no good breakfast. So disappointing. Staffs were polite and friendly. Rooms to small and not comfortable for children.

perfect location, walk from train and to ferry to Denmark. Staff very friendly and helpful with directions. They advertise as no frills and that may be so, but linens were nice and fresh, wifi was strong and consistent, the room and bath were compact, but adequate. We had to leave before breakfast opened, but the offerings looked nice.

The rooms at Yess Hotel are of a Youth Hostel type standard. They are small with beds in a bunk style arrangement - a single over a double. The bathroom is also tiny. Parking is available at the rear of the property - enter from Kristian IV gate. There is no guest laundry but the young lady at reception was kind enough to let us use one in the basement that is used by the hotel. Reasonable breakfast provided. The door to reception is locked until 3pm so don't think about trying to check in early. Note that the road in front of the hotel is currently inaccessible due to road construction.

A cheaper hotel that has everything one needs
A convenient hotel which has everything we need. Breakfast is good and basic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Others complain about a small room and bathroom but this is Europe and not the US. We are very happy with our stay!

Great location
Very conveniently located almost in centre of Kristiansand, we could walk everywhere. Parking provided for small fee which was convenient as the street out front was being excavated. The breakfast choices were quite good and served from 6.30am so we could make an early start.

I think the breakfast buffet was boring and had a low range of foods, only chees, salami and ham, and there were no butter, only plant based spred. There were dust on the shelfs in the room and in the bathroom.

I checked in late after all receprionists were gone. They left emailed me the gate code, left me the keys the my room in the lobby and also gave me extra towels. Very nice service!
