Stay Away From the Rip-Off Artists Who Run Sir Max
Publié le 10 juin 2014 sur Expedia
Pour : Flavorful food and cleanliness of rooms.
Contre : Double charging tired foreign families leaves a bad haze over the memory of the whole weekend.
Emplacement : Good location in Kumasi
Several friends recommended Sir Max Hotel. Not anymore. Expedia should consider dropping them from the inventory. When we arrived after 8:00 pm, the staff claimed that Expedia had cancelled our reservation for some unknown reason, but knowing that we were tired they could put us up for the night in different rooms, and yes we now would have to pay cash, but we could sort it out in the morning. Supposedly no other rooms were available. Internet access was not good at the hotel; our phone network was cutting in and out, and it was the Easter weekend, so we could not get in touch with Expedia. They said, we did not need to worry about Expedia: they would take care of everything. The day after we left and got to another location with internet, I received our usual "how was your stay?" email from Expedia and knew I had been scammed.
Expedia was wonderful. They persevered until they got through to someone at Sir Max Hotel who then affirmed a "double-booking." Expedia credited our credit card immediately, but this was, of course, the cheaper, on-line rate. In the meantime, Sir Max Hotel had collected full fare from us - which was two "deluxe" rooms for four nights. Whatsmore, as far as I can tell, Sir Max management intended to collect the money from Expedia as well as the cash I paid them. I have not been able to connect with anyone at the hotel since that time.

Rooms are tired and that goes for the A.C. and loos. But this is compensated by the pool area and food ,absolutely excellent good ambience and busy. The in place.

A Place to Stay where You Can Mingle with the Loca
Publié le 27 mai 2014 sur HotelsThe hotel staff are all great people, service was good and they did the very best to make my stay comfortable. It's a basic hotel if you just need a place house your stuff while you run around Kumasi to get things done. I stayed here because my house wasn't ready and it served me well. It's close to town.

Vergane glorie
