We stayed in this property for five nights and absolutely loved it. The room was spacious, clean, and had all of the things we needed for a great stay in Kyoto.
I’ll focus on two of our biggest needs as a family of four - transportation and food.
Transportation - bus stops right outside and across the street. Umekoji-Kyotonishi station is an easy walk through the park, which is a slightly longer walk than just walking along the east-west road that is just a block north of the property. It’s just such a nice walk to go through the park. U-K station is one stop away from Kyoto station and a direct line to Arashiyama. East access to all that you want to get to.
Food - There is a restaurant downstairs that serves Taiwanese food. Really good! There is also a wonderful bakery around the corner in a narrow alley that serves vegan white bread, delicious coffee, and lots of other fresh-baked goods. The curry bread was my favorite. Check out Tsujiya Umekoji Kita for a fun izakaya experience. Great food and environment. Best meal we had in Kyoto. Lots of other food options around that we weren’t able to take advantage of on this trip. 7-11 and Ministop nearby.
We loved this place. Great launching point for our Kyoto adventures. Looking forward to staying again.

Great staff, complicated check-in
Publié le 15 juin 2024 sur HotelsThe apart-hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. They even helped me forward our luggage to Tokyo which was so nice! We had a few challenges with the AC making a dripping sound, and the washer/dryer not functioning. They sent someone over right away and tried to fix them as best they could.
Please note: CHECK-IN IS AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION. It's about 10-15 minutes away. They sent a message a few days before but we were traveling so much that I didn't catch it. (my bad) We were hot, sweaty and so ready to get to our room but then I had to shlep all the way to the check-in next to Kyoto Station. That being said, I do plan to stay closer to the station next time for convenience overall.

The property was close to transportation to all sites in Kyoto and clean and well kept. Plenty of room.

Very clean and tidy and spacious, plenty of room for the 4 of us. Would differently stay again.

Lots of space in the family room. Clean, nice room with everything we needed.
Very quiet street, near a beautiful park, two massive temples an aquarium and a train museum. 15 minutes walk from Kyoto central station. Would recommend

The only issue is that there is no staff on site, and when we went to check in we had to call someone who required that we pay an additional Kyoto tax prior to giving us the room code.

Good point: the room is neat and comfortable.
Bad point: the response is inefficient and too late.
The staff told me that we can directly check in at the hotel site by following the instructions in an email she sent, but I neither got the email nor received a proper response via LINE talk.
I had no choice but to go back to the reception counter near Kyoto station (20 min by walking), finishing the check-in procedure. There should be a more efficient and convenient way for those who may need to check in at the hotel site.
