Avis XIXe Provencal Stone House with Private Pool-Gardens, 10 minutes from Uzes

I’ve been a host on VRBO for nearly 20 years, and guests have continued to provide positive 5***** comments about their holidays at my property. No one has complained to VRBO about the heat in my house, including other guests this Summer, and in the past, I have only provided fans for cooling my home. When a potential heat wave was predicted for this Summer, I bought what Amazon sells as their #1 “portable air conditioners” on their US and French sites, one for each bedroom. Ms. Tashnek is an American, as am I, and is used to having central or powerful window air conditioning. So in order to avoid any misunderstanding happening again, I removed the AC from my listing on VRBO. Unfortunately, her rental was also exacerbated by the extreme heat wave this Summer. When she notified me about the heat within the house, I immediately ordered and expedited both a Dyson and a Rowenta cooling fan to augment the portable ACs and 4 other fans. Ms. Tashnek also asked to be reimbursed for her inconvenience, so I contacted a VRBO supervisor for their advice, and refunded her 20% of VRBO’s payment to me. (I could not reimburse VRBO charges and fees.) I have learned from France’s heatwave as well as Ms Tashnek’s experience, and will check the feasibility of installing more powerful air conditioning at my home.
