Publié le 25 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayUn peu déçu par la propreté et la situation qui donne libre passage aux voisins car il n'est pas spécifié dans l'annonce que le chemin accolé à la maison dessert également d'autres habitations. Question tranquillité pas de chance car un voisin remblayait sa fosse septique. Sinon en positif la panier d'acceuil et la piscine qui est très agréable

Nous sommes toujours reconnaissants pour les commentaires de nos clients, et dans ce cas, nous avons été désolés d'apprendre que vous avez été dérangé par nos voisins, qui ont malheureusement installé une fosse septique pendant votre séjour ! La machinerie a dû être assez bruyante pendant une courte période, et nous comprenons également que leur pelleteuse bloquait le chemin de retour vers la route d'entrée, que nous partageons avec eux. Nous avons cependant été très heureux d'apprendre que vous avez apprécié notre pack de bienvenue spécial, et bien sûr la belle piscine chauffée !
We are always grateful for our guests' reviews, and in this case we were so sorry to hear that you were disturbed by our neighbours, who unfortunately installed a septic tank during your stay! The machinery must have been quite noisy for a short time, and we also understand that their digger was blocking the back way in to the entrance road, which we share with them. We were however very pleased to hear that you enjoyed our special Welcome Pack, and of course the lovely heated pool!

Lovely little house in a peaceful location

The exclusive use of the swimming pool is a great plus. The area is tranquil and extremely pretty. We loved staying here- just right for 2 people.

Perfect relaxation
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayLovely property in a quiet village. Perfect for a holiday doing very little other than lounging by the pool and taking in the sun. Quality restaurants recommended by the owners did not disappoint. Ruffec very quiet but the E. Leclerc hypermarket superb, but absolutely packed on Saturday. Niort and Melle well worth the drive and Verteuil sur Charente beautiful in the mid-week.

Perfect
Publié le 27 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayExcellent. Pool amazing. Gite beautiful. Any correspondence replied to quickly. Caretaker lovely. Great weather , beautiful garden. Peaceful holiday just sunbathing. Location good for supermarkets. All in all had a wonderful time.

Lovely Quiet Gite in the Charente

Excellent exclusive use pool that was a life saver as the temperatures climbed over 30. Very comfortable for a 2 person stay. Great communication with the owner and the local caretakers. Thanks!

We have previously stayed at another property from a different provider and it was dire to say the least , so we were apprehensive. We needn't have been. This is superb. Thank you

Wonderful
Publié le 28 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here for two weeks and throughly enjoyed our ourselves. The gite is great for two people and Rob & Lene provide everything needed for a comfortable stay. The garden is huge, well kept and has plenty of wildlife to watch whilst chilling by the pool. The pool is fab, we were in it most days and we were especially grateful for it when a heat wave came through the area.
The quiet location of the gite is ideal for unwinding being in the middle of the countryside. But 10 mins by car and you are in Ruffec for supermarkets, restaurants etc. Also in an ideal location to explore the Charante area. We had a perfect two weeks here and highly recommend it.

2nd Visit.
Publié le 26 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our 2nd visit to the Hobogite. We were very lucky with the weather, which enabled us to enjoy every aspect of the lovely garden and heated pool.
The welcome pack was a much appreciated touch to start our holiday.
However the mattress dips in the middle which prevents us from giving 5 stars.

Yes, Bill is truly a treasure, and we are glad that he was able to help. We were however very concerned to hear that you stayed the whole time with an uncomfortable bed without saying anything - this is something that we would really have appreciated knowing about earlier, so that we could have helped you before you left. Another time, please do let us know as soon as something goes wrong, rather than waiting until afterwards - and then docking a star!
