Due to flight cancellations and delays we were physically unable to make it to the resort for our two night stay. Originally, when our flight was canceled and postponed to the next day, the resort agreed to refund our night upon checkout from our second night’s stay. However, when we were delayed yet again and unable to make it into a city until 4 AM the following morning, the resort refused to refund ANYTHING! Stuck in the United States with no way of getting there due to airline travel, they were unaccommodating and not sympathetic in the least. We intend to travel back to the area next winter but will most certainly pick somewhere else to stay. If you are traveling from outside the country and could possibly face travel delays, DO NOT BOOK HERE!

This is our second time staying at arenal paraiso. It is right in the middle between fortuna and arenal, great location. For the price you cannot beat the property with hot springs, individual cabins and free breakfast. The restaurant is ok…but there are amazing food options convenient nearby.

My mom and I had such a great stay at this property. Our room/cabin was clean and nice. We also loved the hot spring pools! Breakfast in the morning was also good.

We stayed 3nights at Hotel Arenal Parasio resort and spa during Christmas holidays. Though property has excellent amenities like pools, bar, restaurants, and hots springs, the actual rooms are very old and dated. Many issues with room itself. Floors and bath rooms are stained and looks dirty due to lack of maintenances. Hot water in the room was a big issue many time you have to wait for several minutes to come and the water pressures was frustrating. The linens, towels and blankets were very cheap one. Many things were broken in the unit. But the rest of property common facilities were good. Restaurant was bit expensive but the pool bar was an amazing place to relax

The resort grounds are beautiful but the rooms are very dated. The buffet breakfast was not very good. It was hard to get spring towels. The air blew in the room but it was very humid.

We stayed in the villa which was perfect for a family of four with teenage kids. The hotel had a wonderful position overlooking the volcano and was well situated for activities and getting into Fortuna. The staff were great with a specific call out for Maurizio. Great stay and happy to recommend.
