Publié le 31 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayNous nous sommes retrouvés en famille dans cette superbe propriété pleine de charme. Le jardin est somptueux et le lieu très calme. Mike a été attentif et réactif. Week-end très agréable ! Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Publié le 4 nov. 2018 sur HomeAwayTrès bon accueil dans cette propriété majestueuse. Les propriétaires sont attentifs au moindre détail. Le cadre est très nature et les nombreux petits coins aménagés en font un lieu très calme et apaisant, même lorsqu'on est nombreux. On aurait facilement passé une semaine supplémentaire (les champignons ont du pousser depuis)

Lovely countryside Villa with tranquil and beautiful surroundings

Secluded in a peaceful pine forest, the eco-friendly Villa blends in with nature to provide an unforgettable experience for our family of 12. We found the house to be furnished with pretty much all the equipment, AC, appliances, and toiletries one could need. There are so many different indoor and outdoor secluded spaces that everyone got to enjoy many fun and relaxing meals and moments throughout the day.
Mike and Michelle, besides going above and beyond accommodating any questions we had, are wonderful hosts to chat with. Their tips on procuring produce from the local markets, and recommendations for visiting nearby sites and restaurants added so much to our week in the area.
We'd recommend the stay to any group or family any time!!

Wonderful house with outstanding hosts

It had a good-sized, well maintained pool; a high standard of accommodation; an exceptionally well-equipped modern kitchen; and a lovely, extensive outdoor area with several places to sit in the shade and enjoy it.
We were extremely fortunate in our hosts, who responded promptly to every request for little extras such as beach umbrella and ironing board, and with advice about technical details in the house.
There was a very good supermarket within about 10 minutes' drive. And our hosts gave us recommendations for the beaches, and the various great restaurants nearby.
The hosts were next door, which added to this convenience, but their presence never interfered with or impinged on our privacy.
Overall, we could not have had a more enjoyable stay, and would not hesitate to recommend the property

Best House rental in Spain

Magnificent parklike outside of 3ha and a great pool.

Amazing property and terrific hosts!
Publié le 15 juill. 2019 sur HomeAwayWe had a glorious 2-week stay at La Bruguera! We were a group of 7 adults and a boy almost 3 years old. The house and grounds are unique and absolutely beautiful. Mike and Michelle were so very helpful to us, not only before we arrived but during our entire stay. They made dinner and vineyard reservations for us, arranged for Chef Roger to cook a delicious dinner at the house, gave us excellent recommendations for beaches and other sites, introduced our grandson to their chickens and bunnies, and shared yummy vegetables from their garden. They were so respectful of our use of their peaceful property and we just loved meeting their family. The 6 bedrooms all have A/C, along with the main living area-- and we needed it as Spain was hit with a heat wave. The pool was great for cooling off as well and our grandson enjoyed swim time so much. We appreciated their commitment to sustainabilty and respect for the environment.
Would recommend Gala's castle in Pubol, Can Bosch for dinner, Local Market Cooking Class in Girona, and walking the old city wall in Girona. The beaches are an easy drive and there are many great choices. So many other sites are relatively close which makes this property not only a quiet escape but accessible to a wide variety of experiences.
Our time at La Bruguera was one of the most memorable vacations we have taken. Thank you, Mike, Michelle and family for a truly wonderful stay!

Even better than expected
Publié le 2 juill. 2019 sur HomeAwayArriving in La Bruguera was an enchanting experience: driving through idyllic catalan villages, being cordially recieved by our host Mike, being showed around and inroduced to the facilities of the place: everything is so beautiful, tasteful, impeccable and perfectly equipped and maintained like we have never before experienced in a rented vacation home. Mike and Michelle are incredible hosts, always approachable and helpful. As a group of nine adults and two kids we spent a fantastic and carefree week with al fresco dinners, barbeques, enjoying the pool area, playing pingpong, doing little excursions into the surroundings (beaches, Dali-castle-museum, Girona, farmers market in La Bisbal all near by)... We definetly want to return!

Thanks guys! So sorry it took us this long to respond on the platform. The website has changed and we only now found where to see these comments. It is so nice to remember the awesome time we had on retreat. Hopefully we will all be back together annually after all this Covid stuff is over!
