Great stay in the North woods
Publié le 9 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe used the rental as headquarters for daily disc golfing excursions to the local courses. All guests had ample room. Operating light switches for common spaces was not intuitive. Also the lower patio door would not open from the inside. The front door locking mechanism was cumbersome with a 10digit code needed each time to open. On-site grill was not gas as the listing stated.

Great house, not Great Lake for swimming
Publié le 8 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was really roomy and very clean. Lots of space with a huge living room for a big group. That said, our family usually likes to spend a lot of time by the lake… At this property, it’s really hard to access the waterfront and there is really no way to enter the water safely for swimming (lots of fallen trees in the water). But maybe if u wanted to fish off a dock, this would b a good fit. This property is in a heavily wooded area… we were here in early July. Mosquitoes were out of control and made sitting outdoors impossible. There is a screen porch that helped.

Northwoods
Publié le 29 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayLake and fishing great. House was not cleaned very well. Deck furniture filthy and dead bugs on floors and carpet in house so clearly not cleaned recently.

Fun location
Publié le 3 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe pros about this property are the location, close to great outdoor winter activities, the bedrooms were nice (could use some clothes storage), bathrooms were nice too.
Cons - no internet wifi or tv, fireplace was inoperable, dead flies and live flies all over the house. Not the most organized and stocked kitchen

Mitten Lake
Publié le 31 août 2021 sur HomeAwayWe had a great time in this quiet secluded “cabin” on Mitten Lake. Never turned on the TV. We used the canoe, but wished that we had been warned to bring or rent our own paddles and life preservers. The weather was perfect so we did not mind the lack of air conditioning at all. The screened in porch was certainly the highlight for us. We ate all of our meals there. I recommend providing a real table and chairs instead of the bar—we moved the dining table out there. Because of COVID, we brought our own food. We did miss a dishwasher, but we understood we were supposed to be in a cabin.

Our uncomfortable stay
Publié le 30 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe arrived to the property with no power or water.(due to storms from previous night) I was in communication with the company,who in return said that the property owners would keep us posted on the situation..Never heard from them. We are also disappointed on not being refunded on some of the cost that is included in the price..we had to carry water in a five gallon pail to use the toilet...we were paying for service of electricity and water, that we didn't have the first 24 hours of our stay. Trying to keep our food safe and cold was a challenge,along with trying to move in the house by small laterns we bought for the dark hours. The only thing we are supposed to be reimbursed for is ice, batteries,and lights we bought to try and get us through the stay.
