Dans l'annonce, nous devions pouvoir utiliser des bicyclettes mais, il y en avait que une et pas très en état. De plus, on devait avoir le transfert à l'aéroport compris, mais nous avons dû payer un taxi 10$ US pour s'y rendre. Pour la pêche et le canot, je vous laisse deviner. Vos annonces sont trompeuses pour le consommateur. Autres que ça, l'hotel était propre et le personnel très accueillant et serviable.

Good morning and thank you for your review. We had 2 bikes but one of our guest took one out and didnt lock it up and it was stolen our ad does not say free shuttle or pick up and the taxi price is nothing to do with us. During this crisis we are having with Covid 19 we apologize for any inconvenience you may have and the canoe and kayak are here and free to use at anytime you just needed to ask. We hope you have an uneventful flight home to Germany and thank you for choosing us as your last min booking we were glad to have you. Thank you again

Personalized Attention

I arrived early in the day, and Colin was very responsive and understanding of my situation allowing me to have a room immediately. The room was comfortable and clean. Later in the day, Colin came by to check if I needed anything. Since the nearby restaurants were closed, he personally made the drive to pick up food and deliver it to us. The next day, he even gave us a ride to the airport. His personalized attention meant a lot to me. Thank you to Colin and to the Bomboleo Inn!

Apparently they didn’t know that we were coming. The hotel hadn’t received the reservation from Expedia. However it was no problem and they quickly arranged rooms for our party of four. We were able to walk to a local restaurant and had a great Belizean breakfast at Bamboleo!

When we arrived we were told our reservation had been cancelled. They claimed that “someone” called and cancelled our reservation. I think they oversold the property and couldn’t guarantee the room so they made an excuse. They were incredibly nice and helpful through the whole thing, even calling another potential hotel to check availability. But still… I want my money back. We will see how Expedia handles this scenario.

You can check your bank statements as confirmation but expedia and our hotel did not receive payment. Thank you and once again we do apologize for the mix up.

Pros: Clean floors and sheets, quiet, AC worked Cons: This place was… fine. Felt a bit like a place that once was. Those images in the description of people smiling and enjoying a glass of wine over a nice meal are definitely not a reality of this place. The tables are gone. There are holes in the screens upstairs. There was not an option for food. Other than that the room was… fine. We were given half a roll of toilet paper. There were 3 spoons and a knife… no forks. Some of the dishes were dirty. Dirty, moldy drying mat. No dish soap. Window locks didn’t work and we were on the ground floor. Credit card machine was broken so we had to go to an ATM to pay for the room. A bit sketchy to get back to… but I guess that’s what made it quiet. It felt like a step above a backpacker’s accommodation but without the backpacker budget. It worked but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Emergency room

It's difficult to explain our stay at Bambaleo. On one hand the staff is nice, considerate, and helpful. On the other hand, I wouldn't have stayed there but for TAG Airline who arbirtally changed our flight. My stay was fine for one night. One more night and I would have found somewhere else. It wasn't my style or first choice. Our hosts were outstanding! They took us to a local restaurant and pretty much held our hands during our stay. We thank them very much for their consideration.
