Great weekend stay!

Great Stay

Perfect for what we needed...

There were a few cleaning items mentioned to the owner but they were apologetic, and I feel items will be corrected before the next guests. Neighborhood properties were not kept up to potential, however, everyone was quiet and polite.

13 yrs Rental History with VRBO

The shower between 2 bRs has long time scum build up, dust every where. The front and back doors are cheaply made of a soft wood that my 79 yr old husband was able to push the door in with just a push of his shoulders when it didn't respond to the code. Bette R
After many years and many VRBO Homes from across the country, I have finally rented a house that truly deserves a negative review - this is my first and hopefully the last, I will ever need to do.
At first glance, inside the house looked neat and orderly - later not so much
VRBO - BEWARE - Without full details this house had many problems - if details are needed please ask
Doors, inside and outside in disrepair - again, please ask for details - Owner is charging for door repairs. I have no problem paying for the door repair, with the understanding that the door was already damaged and in need of repair - need more details please ask
Had to sweep leaves etc from front entrance on arrival to prevent tracking into house
Garage door did not work - notified but not repaired
Surface cleaning only - Dead flies, bugs etc in window seals, spider webs in living room
Could not watch TV during the afternoon - room too bright due to light coming through the blinds
Ice-maker not working - used ice trays
The grass was partially cut - never returned to finish cutting
Back deck not usable due to Hwy noise

Wow! Bette's review is full of vengeful untruths. This home was cleaned the day she checked in and was totally spotless. There was no "scum" build-up in either bathtub - I personally scrub the tubs after each guest. This home was totally updated about a year ago, with all exterior doors replaced at that time. There was no damage to the door prior to Bette's stay. Upon reviewing video, it is noted that one of the two men staying with her was trying to put in a 4 digit code to open the door. All of our codes are 5 digits. Bette tried to tell him he was using the wrong code, but he proceeded to get angry and rammed his shoulder into the door, destroying the frame. This is on doorbell video. The home is in no way in disrepair. They wanted to open the overhead garage door. Instead of pushing the "open" button, they pushed the "Lock" button, then couldn't figure out how to undo that. We sent one of our maintenance people over to unlock the overhead door. If they had additional "problems", we were not told of it. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather (mowing), or Mother Nature (leaves, insect webs, daylight/darkness). The front porch is swept after each guest, the home is pressure washed regularly. It is noted these guests left the front door standing wide open on multiple occasions for long periods of time, then want to complain there are flies in the home. Seriously?? Bette was one of the worst guests we have ever had in all our years of hosting.

Lacrosse Weekend at Purdue
Publié le 24 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe came to town for lacrosse games at Purdue and this home fit our needs. Close to the university and great restaurants. It was a perfect place to relax with family after the game. The property managers are great! Will stay here for the next lacrosse weekend.
