So many activities!
Posted Jun. 17, 2024 on HomeAwayHad an amazing time with a chill bachelor party gathering. We used ALL of the fun activities - pool, ping pong, foosball, and two tvs that we used for video games. Hot tub and fire were great too. So many comfortable beds for everyone and nice couches too. Had such a great time! So much space for everyone to have fun.

Good... with a catch
Posted Jun. 4, 2024 on HomeAwayProperty was nice, check in and check out were seamless, however when the propane for the grill was out, I was unable to get in contact with the property owner, and so had to pay for the propane myself after the office was unable to verify homeowners. Feels kind of ridiculous to have this issue when you're paying more than a fair bit to stay at a place like this, some communication at least would have helped.
Not a bad place to stay otherwise, just hope you don't have to

To be clear to everyone who reads this, you did not contact me once. I sent you the house instructions when you booked and there is a copy clearly visible in the house. They clearly state:
There is a 6 burner propane gas grill on the deck. I do not fill the propane tanks between rentals. I would suggest
checking the tank hooked up to the grill. If it feels light, then you can exchange it at the local grocery store or gas station
which is about a mile down the road or you can just bring your own. The propane is on the honor system. Guests use it
and replace it as necessary.
A 2 star review is a little harsh but what should I expect from someone who can't read.

Beautiful location

40th bday party celebration/girls weekend
Posted May 28, 2024 on HomeAwayThere were 10 of us staying in the house, there was plenty of room. The house was great, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect!

Beautiful Place
Posted May 10, 2024 on HomeAwayWe stayed here with a group of friends. The house was very clean and had all the amenities you would need. A couple of us enjoyed the hot tub. The location of the house was perfect. Not too far from entertainment and Ubers were easily available. We would most definitely stay here again!

Nice Place; Could Use Upgrades
Posted Mar. 28, 2024 on HomeAwayThe place was nice and fit everyone well. I liked that I had two hangout rooms, it was close to restaurants, and a lake nearby. Overall, we had a really nice time and would go back when it wasn't so cold.
Some items should be addressed for the next renter. We slept in the basement bedroom and it was so uncomfortably cold. In the middle of the night, the water softener hissed like an alarm for 20 minutes. It made a bunch of sounds the next night too that kept waking us up which was aggravating. Everyone else was also very cold as there weren't heating vents in the bedrooms and the place was set to around 50 something when we arrived. It was too cold to play ping pong to use the pool table without our coats on. The TV on the third floor did not work, the hot tub cover bar was rusted through, the oven took forever to heat up, and the porches could use some TLC.
Even so, it was a cute place and the living room/kitchen/dining room was perfect for our crowd with very pretty views. I recommend bringing a space heater(s) and earplugs, and avoiding the basement bedroom if you choose to stay.

Sandra, fortunately you are the only guests out of about 75 winter guests over the last 3 years that have complained about the cold and have complained about a loud water softener. Regardless, we take all feedback/criticism seriously so we will investigate.
The thermostat is on the main floor so if you have the fireplace on full blast, the thermostat will read that temperature so the heater will not turn on for the bottom floor nor the top floor. I specifically state in the house instructions to leave the HVAC fan on so the air is circulating.
Yes, the house may have been at 50 when you arrived because I do not heat the house if nobody is in it.
The ping pong table is in the unheated garage so you probably need coats to play when it is cold outside. That's what my family does at least.
