Lakeview Lodge - Screened Porch with Lake View, Fire Pit, Fireplace, Dog Friendly

Lakeview Lodge is everything you could want in a DOG FRIENDLY vintage Lake Lure vacation rental. With winter lake views, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath sleeps 6, fireplace and modern kitchen and is just 5 minutes from downtown Lake Lure.

Vintage 1945 Lake Lure home carefully restored allowing you all the conveniences of home. Spacious parking for 3 cars with only one step into a one level ranch style home situated on top of the hill overlooking Lake Lure. As you enter the the back door you are greeted by peaks into the past from the carefully curated furniture to the décor throughout the home. The dinning table is just the right size for 6 surrounded by windows to enjoy the views whether it is morning coffee or an evening meal. A highchair is close by just in case you have a younger guest who might not quite be ready to join you at the table.

From the dining room is the fully renovated kitchen. Custom stone backsplash, granite countertops, stainless appliances and a full selection of small appliances and kitchen gadgets at your disposal for your next culinary masterpiece. Keurig and Nespresso coffee machines (bring your own pods) Starter set of towels, laundry detergent and trash bags (just enough to get you started).

The heart of the house is the warm and inviting living room. With antique beams vaulting the ceiling, to round stone fireplace, there are touches of modern with the flat screen TV and plenty of comfortable seating. At the back of the living room a little hidden surprise, a mini bar that opens up to the front deck for guests to enjoy. From the comfort of the screened in front porch you can enjoy the winter lake views, a few peek a boo views during summer, watch the kids play in the large front yard, read a good book or just kick back and relax.

Back inside Lakeview Lodge features a split bedroom floor plan. Two guest bedrooms and a guest bathroom are to the left of the living room. Guest bedroom #1 has a queen size bed, guest bedroom #2 also has a queen size bed the shared hall guest bathroom has very unique vanity features and a shower tub combination complete with a glass door.

To the right of the living room you have what we would call the master bedroom, queen size bed and private master bathroom, again with a very unique all natural wood vanity and a standup shower complete with a glass door.

With a large yard, and gentle slope there is a gas firepit on the right side of the home making this the perfect spot for making memories that will last a lifetime.

NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS

First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 6 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.

DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. Contact your rental's property manager for offsite, overflow parking options. There is parking for 3 vehicles at this property. No RV's trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.

ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.

TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity.

MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.

NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.

FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.

LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.

FISHING: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.

BOATING: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.

PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.

NO SMOKING: Smoking, Vaping and Electronic cigarettes are prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be assessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking and/or vaping in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.

NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.

UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.

SECURITY CAMERA LOCATIONS: Please be advised our homes have forward facing entry area security cameras. We monitor for non-reported pets, over occupancy and number of vehicles.

PETS/ANIMALS: DOG FRIENDLY HOMES: This is a Dog friendly home there will be additional non-refundable pet fee listed. CATS ARE NOT ALLOWED 2-Adult Dogs are allowed with additional nonrefundable pet fee of $60-$120. Dogs must not be left unattended or must be crated if left at home. Dogs are NOT allowed on the furniture; we ask that you please always pick up after your dogs and be mindful of the neighbors and keep your dogs on a leash.

RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Failure to sign rental agreement with-in 72 hours of booking, will result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of deposit. Any monies received by Mr Lake Lure Vacation Rentals for occupancy of vacation property indicated the acceptance of the terms of our vacation rental agreement in full. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.

Please read your vacation rental agreement carefully before you begin your vacation. All policies are strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of all guests and members of their party to be familiar with all policies pertaining to rental.

ALL PROPERTIES OFFER AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:

Including, but not limited to: bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 washcloths per Guest, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, new sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Guest. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

ITEMS YOU WILL/MAY WANT TO BRING FOR YOUR STAY:

Extra folding chairs, beach towels, shampoos/ body soaps, hair dryers, basic cooking condiments, tin foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, coffee, board games, fishing poles & tackle, floats, life preservers for toddlers/infants, golf clubs.

Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00 pm.

*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. We would go camping on top of Shumont Mountain now known as Eagle Rock. Silver City was a nice attraction when it was there in the 70's Those were the days!!

Second house for family get-together
One son, wife and adult children used this house for a family get together, the other 11 of us were in a nearby larger place where all events happened. Housing arranged for and paid for by me. It is managed by a company who required much reassurance that we were not going to misuse their property; other communication w/me and my son was not always easy but house itself was as described, and fully met the needs of the family, who enjoyed a 5 night stay.

Lake Lure Ladies Weekend
My friends and I held our first ladies weekend since half of us have had children and the weekend was lovely. That location is perfect for getting a quiet getaway close to scenic Lake Lure and just a few minutes drive to Chimney Rock. The house was clean, felt very settled and had all that we needed. We had two kids and I felt the home was mostly baby proof (18 months and 12 months). We really enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed for a short getaway weekend with our toddler and dog. The home location felt very private and peaceful. We loved the screen porch overlooking the lake! The home was very clean and we had everything we needed to cook some meals at the home and relax. Our dog had access to a fenced area. It's in close proximity to Chimney Rock and village. Unfortunately, it rained and temperatures dropped on one of the days during our stay. The fireplace cannot be used all year round, which we were disappointed to learn when we arrived. It's something we had looked forward to and expected from a mountain cabin. Overall, we loved this charming home and would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lakeview Lodge. The house has the prettiest views of the sun rising between the mountains over the lake. We took my mom for her 70th B-day. It was just a time to relax and enjoy one another. The house has a little fenced in lot for our fire babies to potty and play. Would love to come back.

Our stay was all we hoped for and more! The property was nestled on a beautiful spot of land with plenty of privacy. Ample parking safely off the streets which was a definite plus. The inside was very clean and inviting. The bar opening to the porch area was unique and very clever. Everything you need is there. The only drawback from our visit… it wasn’t long enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing! The cabin was so clean and organized! The decor is beautiful and the location is perfect for a short trip to the beach, the pontoon boat tours, the welcome center and Chimney Rock Village! On a road above the lake so must be okay with driving on a narrow, winding mountain road, but only for a short distance. A nice lake view, although limited, through the trees. Great for a quiet, restful getaway!

This is a lovely, clean, well-maintained cabin with a lake view. The lake is somewhat obstructed in the summer months due to leafing trees but still beautiful. The cabin is well equipped. The kitchen has multiple equipment options for cooking and dining. Utensils were clean, new, and updated. Lots of coffee brewing choices which was a bonus. The furnishings were clean and had a nice, rustic, cabin feel. Great fireplace and screened porch. Lots of room to spread out for relaxing and dining. Management was excellent in communicating and fixing a slight toilet issue upon arrival. The beds in the guest area were comfortable but a bit squeaky. If you’re a light sleeps this might be problematic. Great experience and wonderful area with plenty of options for dining and entertainment. Recommended.
