Publié le 20 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwaySuch a beautiful little getaway. We loved everything. The home and amenities were awesome and the hot tub was so clean and well taken care of. Loved it all and it was SO close to the lake. Perfection.

Sister's weekend
Publié le 9 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe Sandpiper Cottage was spotless. The robes were a nice surprise and made it special, in fact, my sister looked them up and is going to buy one. The hot tub was perfect, and breakfast was delicious. Lisa answered my questions promptly and was a gracious hostess. I wish i would have had an address instead of directions, and i expected more of a villiage instead of a drive to everything. That, of couse, is no fault of the hostess. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay, and more. It was a great time away.

Hi Beth, thanks for another wonderful review! We are a village here but the cottages are in residential communities. The businesses are all around the lake which is a large 1700 acre lake!! The Sandpiper Cottage is a 5 minute walk to the public beach, walking paths, amphitheater, private dock with kayaks, and our most popular Cuban restaurant/bar. It’s a quick 15 min walk to the grocery store. Lots of businesses, winery and golf, brewery and restaurants are in a 3 minute drive away. Of course most of us kayak, paddle board and boat ourselves on the water to get to dinner and fun…Just because it’s the fun of lake life!!!! This town is where you slow down…it’s part of the charm. Lovely home is great location
Publié le 26 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis home was so nice and close to everything on the lake. The grocery store was a short walk or 1 minute drive. You could walk or drive to the Castaway restaurant which we highly recommend. The fireworks were an added bonus we were not expecting. Lisa the host was so accommodating and the breakfast was down right delicious!! If you are looking for a place on Craig Beach this place is the best!

Publié le 15 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMe and my boyfriend stayed 2 nights( next vacation it will be longer) this place was amazing, there is plenty of things to do in the area, just to name a few you can bring your fishing pole and sit back and catch fish or go kayaking or go to the beach and cool off or just take a nature walk then when you return back to the cabin sit and relax in the hot tub or just sit on back patio and relax we enjoyed hearing and seeing a few different kind of birds flying around. The host is amazing I had a few questions they responded really fast with the answer and delivered breakfast our first morning which was not only delicious but very kind of them to do.

Cute, cozy and clean
Publié le 19 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayMyself and 4 teenagers stayed here and we had plenty of room. The decor is adorable, the cottage was clean and everyone loved getting to use their own robe! The area is quiet with close access to grocery stores and the beach. We didn’t walk to the beach because the teens said it was too far- it was a 2 minute car ride…. Ugh-Teenagers. We loved that we had supplies to do laundry and soaps and shampoo.
The owner came and helped us rent the dock and we bought the extra kayaks for use. We decided to rent very late in the day and the owner was quick to respond to help. We were under the impression from the owner that we could use the kayaks and dock the next day. We were surprised to come back at 4pm the next day from our boat rental on another lake to see the kayaks gone and dock locked. Perhaps we misunderstood? But $85 full price for a partial day rental of the dock and 2 kayaks left us a little disappointed. We should have made the decision earlier to rent.
Other than that moment- we had a great time- the owner provided breakfast one day that was fantastic. We had seasonings and oils and plenty of pots pans and dishes to make our own meals too.

Thanks for another great review Nicci!! Just to clarify, the rental agreement states that guests must set up a morning time in advance for hosts to load, clean and deliver extra rented kayaks in the morning to the dock. We have jobs and need to plan ahead. But we did answer your request at 4 pm and explained thoroughly that it was late in the day and you could have them for 24 hrs. The next day at 4 pm we removed the extra rented 2 from the dock. We provide personalized services to our guests whenever possible. Thanks, Lisa

Just what our family needed

Lisa was extremely helpful and stayed in communication with us, very pleasant and her waffles were amazing! Would def recommend!!!

Sun and Fun at the Sandpiper

The location is walkable to the water, beach, State Park and a couple neat restaurants and was ideal for our boating trip. The Sandpiper has everything you need, including a cozy hot tub and offered peaceful evenings after a day in the Sun. The owner was extremely communicative as well! Looking forward to a return trip in the future!

Great little cottage near the lake

Home away from hime
Publié le 25 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe love staying here with our elderly parents whenever we visit our daughter. The property is clean and spacious. The kitchen well sticked with supplies and utensils, all i need to do is make a quick trip to the nearby grocery store if we don't feel like dining out. They have all the equipment for me to make a quick meal including a crockpot. Check in/check out is easy. We love walking to the lake. There's a short drive to winery as well. It's the perfect getaway destination.
