Great Lake House!!
Publié le 25 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is our second time staying at this lake house. The inside is beautiful and has an awesome dock. I love that there is ample plugs and USB connections in the dining room and next to each of the beds. Will definitely be staying here again in the future!!

Private pretty lake house

Nice House
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis home is very nicely done and updated. We enjoyed the cooking in the kitchen. I would suggest bringing a wine bottle opener if you're a wine drinker. The kitchen has a nice wine cooler, but no bottle opener. We had a minor issue when we arrived but the owners quickly took care of it. I chose this property partly because it has a swimming dock, floating pad, and kayaks for rent. We wanted to spend a lot of time in the water. Unfortunately, the dock was covered in geese droppings. Not a little, but a lot. To use the dock we had to clean it all up. Not exactly what I wanted to do on vacation, I realize this is out of the owner's control, but we did notice other docks in the cove didn't seem to have this problem so perhaps flags, lights, or other objects on the dock could help prevent this from occurring. Please also note, the listing says it sleeps 8 however, there are only beds for 6 people. The other two people would either be on the couch (doesn't pull out into a bed) or on an air mattress.

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to make our guests experience perfect and are very sorry there were some issues during your stay.
Our kitchen is typically stocked with a wine opener. We were unaware the wine opener was missing. We have replaced the missing wine opener. We try to keep a fully stocked kitchen/bar but sometimes items go missing. We immediately replace missing items once we become aware.
We are also very sorry about the geese droppings. As you noted, this is out of our control and prior to your stay, we had not had issues with the geese this season. It is common at the Lake of the Ozarks for geese to use docks and swim platforms overnight to sleep and take cover. They typically stay away during the day, but property owners often wake to messes on their docks, swim platforms, Lilly pads or any other large floating items. It is unfortunate, out of our control but understand the frustration. At the recommendation of friends and other experts who have experienced the same issues, we have since purchased flags for the dock and other recommended bird deterrents to attempt to keep the geese off our dock at night.
In regard to the sleeping arrangements at our home, our listing does state there are 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds/bunk. In order to accommodate the two additional people our home can hold, we purchased a tri-fold queen size memory foam mattress we keep in the bunk room under the bottom bunk. There are extra pillows and bedding in the closets that can be used for the mattress.

Favorite Spot at the Lake 😊

But I'll elaborate anyway by saying the house is modern, comfortable, located in a great spot, and has all the comforts of home and then some. The owners are a dream to communicate with and we have always shown up to new and awesome upgrades. The only downside to this home is that we cannot live here permanently! Can't wait to come back. 😊

Perfect for a girls weekend
