Fantastic! Super easy check in. Very clean, bed comfortable, amazing shower. Highly recommend! Wonderful staff!

Stayed in the robin room. The most comfortable bed ever. One of the best places I’ve stayed. I’d recommend it.

Liked the landscaping. Noise in the apartment above me until late. Staff did not speak English. Not really pet friendly as advertised. Not actually “ at the Lake” as advertised. Lake several miles away.
Convenient to I-5 and a peaceful alternative to lodging in Redding.

Dear Kathleen, Thanks for writing the review for your early June stay now in mid September. We deeply appreciate that you took the time to do so and remembered us. Many thanks! You booked the Jack Rabbit room as that was the last pet friendly room left. We provided the pet kit (sheet/ towel and doggy bag) as well for your pet. We are quite confused as to why would you say that it is "not really pet friendly". If you were looking for a certain amenity for your pet, you did not mention anything during your stay. Most hotels do not do anything special for any guest's pets in terms of amenities or features in a room! We gladly provide a pet kit as mentioned above. Jack Rabbit does have another room above it. Most of our guests retire by 10 pm. Noise can come in any hotel room from upper level rooms and we are no exception. Our apologies that your sleep was disturbed. Had you connected with us to request the other guests to make less noise we would have gladly done so! Our descriptions/ places of interests list Lake Shasta as 1.5 miles away. We have NEVER claimed that we are at the Lake Shasta in any website. Dear Future Guests, Our team members are improving their English skills and come from various backgrounds. This may cause some inconvenience and we apologize for that! If the inconvenience is too much for you - we respect and understand that you might not choose us for your stay! Regards,

Ruby and staff were very welcoming. They communcated with us prior to our arrival. The lobby and dinning are charming.
However, the Jack Rabbit room is deceiving... thought we had booked a beautiful room as pictured on the website. We were moved to a small dark, dog friendly room, which was in a small corner of the facilities on the ground floor. It did have a king bed, but under the bed was disgusting... filthy. Shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned as well. We could hear everything the people upstairs were saying and every step they took ( until 11:45 pm) No ventilation. Perhaps the other rooms were nicer .very disappointed. underthe bed was discusst

Dear Dorothy, Thanks for writing the feedback for us. We appreciate it. We had provided you the Jack Rabbit room which was the last "pet friendly" room we had for your arrival date. We had communicated at the time of the booking that this room does "not" have a patio and has a very small view of the forest. You had confirmed to us that it will be fine for your stay. We had also politely suggested to look elsewhere for your stay - since a king bed, patio and a nice view was important to you, but you had chosen to stay in this room. We apologize for the issue with the dirt under the bed. This is something we will work to improve immediatelyWe always clean all shower thoroughly, however the color of the tiles of the shower is dark grey which can give a misleading impression of a dirty shower. Rest assured - we will look into this feedback for our improvement as well.Dear Future Guests, If you face some issues like these - be it the dirt under the bed or unclean shower or noise from neighbors, and tell us during your stay we will try our best to fix the issue. We are not perfect and take feedback seriously for our improvement. We hope you will give us a chance to make your stay better with us during your stay with us.Regards,

The things that bothered us is that the owner of the place Makes a lot of contact with you before entering the room. He asks you (via the Hotels.com reservation website) after booking the room for your email address, your phone number, sends several emails, sends several messages to your phone and also calls you on the phone before arriving at the room to give you a lot of instructions.
In addition, at check-in, he takes a photo of your ID card and also has your credit card information. So he has all your personal details!
It is inconvenient, unacceptable and not safe to have all your personal details in the hands of the owner of the place.
Overall, the cabin is in a great location with an amazing view. All around the room is very beautiful and well-kept.
The room is very large and comfortable with all the means for maximum comfort.
