OUR WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IS LOCATED IN THE BASEMENT AND WILL BACK UP INTO THE HOUSE (YIKES!) IF ANYTHING OTHER THAN SINGLE PLY TOILET PAPER IS USED.

BABY/FACIAL WIPES AND FEMININE PRODUCTS WILL CLOG THE DRAIN AND CAUSE A HUUUUGE MESS -- DON’T FLUSH.

PLEASE USE ONLY SINGLE PLY TOILET PAPER (LIKE SCOTT 1000)

IF THE POWER GOES OUT…

DO NOT RUN ANY WATER UNTIL THE ELECTRIC COMES BACK ON.

THE SEPTIC SYSTEM RUNS ON ELECTRICITY AND WILL BACK UP INTO THE HOUSE IF WATER IS USED DURING THIS TIME.

IF YOU HEAR THE ALARM DOWNSTAIRS, IMMEDIATELY STOP USING ANY WATER (SINKS, TOILETS, SHOWERS, ETC...).

DOGS
We love that guests are bringing their pups with them to share in a family vacation and we don’t charge any pet fees! Because of this we ask all guests to treat our home like their own.

If your pups have an accident, please clean it up. If they have an accident on the rug you will be responsible for cleaning it up either using the easy to use spot cleaner (which should be located in the laundry room) or by running to the store and purchasing a spot cleaning product you can vacuum up. If our property manager notices heavy stains on the carpet or furniture you will forfeit your entire deposit.

If you plan on letting your pups go into the lake please use the hose out front to rinse them off (the one in the back does not work). Also, plan on bringing your own towels to dry them off. You will be charged to replace linens if they smell like dogs or are heavily stained beyond normal wear and tear.

Again, we love pups! Your help will allow us to continue to allow all pups to stay for free.

LINENS | BEDS
We now provide linen service free of charge as an added benefit for our guests!

Each queen bed|futon will be supplied with a bag of freshly washed linens. Which include:
A light weight blanket
Sheet set with 2 pillow cases
2 Towels (Please bring your own pool towels)
2 Washcloths

Each twin bed will also be supplied with a bag of freshly washed linens. Which include:
A light weight blanket
Sheet set with 1 pillow case
1 Towel (Please bring your own pool towels)
1 Washcloth

There may be extra towels in the linen closet.

Larger parties are suggested to bring their own pool/beach towels if they plan on using those amenities.

Upon departure, Renters shall strip all beds and deposit all used linens in front of the laundry room in the den.

PAPER PRODUCTS
We typically stock the house with starter rolls of paper towel and toilet paper. We strongly suggest planning on bringing extra for your stay.

CLEANING SUPPLIES
We do not stock the house with cleaning supplies. Any soaps, counter spray, laundry detergent should be brought with you or purchased for your stay.

PROPANE FOR THE GRILL
If you plan on grilling during your stay, check the propane for the grill when you arrive at the house. If both tanks are empty, you can find a couple of local places to fill up or exchange below. Send a picture of the receipt to (585) 880-3140 and we will reimburse you for the fill ups.

SMALL ITEMS LIKE LIGHT BULBS, BATTERIES, ETC…
At times the batteries may go or a light bulb might flicker out during your stay. We will try to keep batteries and light bulbs in the basement for you to be able to replace anything that’s needed. However, if we are out a certain need, please let us know. If you’d like to replace these we suggest heading to the Kwik Mart listed above. Send a picture of the receipt to (585) 880-3140 and we will reimburse you.

FIREWOOD
Weis Market in Hamlin has some great kiln dried firewood that costs about $5/bag. It burns hot and is pretty easy to get going.

SUMMER PESTS
Because our home has wood siding, the summer can invite carpenter bees and wasps. If you notice any activity call or text us so we can relay the information to our pest control service. If you purchase bee or wasp spray send a picture of the receipt to (585) 880-3140 and we will reimburse you.

IS SOMETHING MISSING?
If you find the house doesn’t have enough wine glasses, cups, bowels, missing a key kitchen utensil, etc...please let us know so we can order and get it there ASAP.
