Restaurant inside of Lodge. Rooms are very clean. Lakewood Lodge located near with few Camping's. This area is very quiet

Publié le 22 juill. 2024 sur Hotelsthis is a very rustic venue. think of a 1950's rooming house with a series of rooms upstairs from a bar and restaurant. Sort of like a bed and breakfast. Our room was small, old, moldy, and the AC was loud but if not turned on, the air was stagnant. The couple that appeared to be in charge were nice and very relaxed, but had we needed to stay more than one night we would have looked for alternative lodging.

As advertised, this is an Historical Country Lodge with a casual and fine dining restaurant, indoor and outdoor dining. It is definitely a Bed and Breakfast, as our room rates inclued a full country breakfast that our customers love! You room was not moldy and all air conditioners make noise. If you had asked us for help, we would have. This review adds no value to the review porcess, as you say you interacted with us, but didn't have the courage to talk with us. Instead, this review hurts our employees and we hope you reconsider. Best of Luck!

The room was clean and comfortable. The owner and staff were friendly, accommodating, and interested in making our stay comfortable. The restaurant was convenient and the food was delicious.
If I am in the area, I would definitely stay there again.

Room was well cleaned. Checked in at 3 at the bar when you enter. Even have a nice resteraunt with very good food. Got a complementary homemade breakfast sandwich in morning and my girlfriend got toast and eggs.

Thanks Jakob. Our full country breakfast comes with every guest stay. Seasonally, we have a popular Sunday Breakfast Buffet, from May through November. Best regards.

Staff are great, the property is cozy and convenient.
Beds are comfy and the room is very clean,
There was a mini fridge, hair dryer and a tele, internet is challenging when being in the room but fast in the dining area

Threatened with extortion at check in
Publié le 15 août 2023 sur HotelsWhen I arrived at night I was told that my payment had been rejected (even though I hadn't received any notice of this) and that if I wanted a room I would have to pay $353 (the room rate quoted was 126€) in cash or with another card.
Since I didn't want to be extorted I left and had to find another hotel in rural PA to spend the night. As a woman travelling alone this was not a pleasant experience and I believe hotels.com should remove this property from their listings for this unethical behavior.
