Un hôtel desfecté. Pas de wifi, petit déjeuner à 500 mètres dans un autre hôtel par chemin non éclairé…, fenêtre bloquée ouverte et pas d’eau chaude… à fuir !!

I have been to Lalibela many times.
First night no hot water then no water within 1 minute.
Staff solution = shower tomorrow? Did not help as I was covered in soap...
Lights didn't work.
Second night moved to another room.
Lights didn't work.
Arranged an early breakfast before day trip. Breakfast 1 hour late. Staff said "Sorry I was asleep"?
Breakfast ok
No milk though
Staff were friendly but not good problem solvers
Did not see manager even though I emailed him about the issues
There are much nicer hotels in better locations for similar prices
btw Where is the winery?

Thanks for your comments and suggestions we apologize for things that has happened we will take your comments as a big lesson and we will make sure next time that will not happen and it happen mostly in lalibela not because of the lodge or staff members because of the new road under construction they cut the line most of the time but our lodge is always actively follow up and always ready to fill full our customers interests
And now we are working on it
We will make sure this will not happen again

I could not enjoy the property as for the 10 days that I was there most the time I was ill. I think this may have to do with the lack of deep cleaning. Hot water was also an issue. It took several request for a heater.
The Wi-Fi never worked.

Quiet convenience in Lalibela
Publié le 29 mars 2020 sur HotelsFikirandRay is a relatively new hotel and offers comfort and quiet. It is a short walk from a restaurant with great views down the valley. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was simple but good. You need a guide to get around and bargain but prices tend to be somewhat set. Lalibela is well worth seeing, which you can do in two days, or most pf it in one day.

We stayed here at a quiet time, so cannot say how the hotel would be if very full. We had a nice large room with a terrific view over the valley, with private bathroom. It was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was fine, and whilst there was no lunch or dinner (maybe because so quiet) there are two excellent restaurants nearby, including the utterly bizarre Ben Abeba, a wonderfully odd Bond-villain place with magnificent views and interesting food. The location is good, a short tuk-tuk ride to the main churches. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and we'd like to mention Nati, who went out of his way to help us, including running to the Ben Abeba in heavy rain to get us an umbrella!
