Wonderful, attentive staff, and great location in a fascinating part of the city. Only challenge for me is that I’m 6 feet tall and could not stand up fully in the room due to low ceiling. I did not mind and still enjoyed my stay

Great location, around 100 metres walk to Patan Durbar Square. Very atmospheric building, lovingly restored. Sure, it has low ceilings in the old part but you know that when you book it. Really helpful, friendly staff and mighty fine breakfast.
Was tricky to find initially, but that was our fault.

Dear Stephen, this hotel is now a social enterprise, the "less experienced staff" is composed by young people grown up into the Kam For Sud projects (children home, day-care center, scholarships) learning a job and becoming independent. In the mean time the entire benefit of the hotel is donated back to the Children Home Tathali, thus contributing to make the structure self-sufficient. It is a positive circular story that the same kids who got supported are now big and supporting -through their job- other needy children to have a better life. The owners are still there, still happy to meet the old friends, and excited as we are about the social mission of the Newa Chen Historic Guest House! Thank you for staying with us!

Prachtige historische (UNESCO-werelderfgoed) locatie op een paar minuten lopen van Patan Durbar Square. Comfortabele kamers met goede verlichting en sanitair. Historische lage plafonds worden na een paar dagen toch wel wat ongemakkelijk. Zeer behulpzaam en flexibel personeel en fantastisch ontbijt (vers fruit!).

We were put in the room above the kitchen… not ideal If you are looking for privacy and quiet. It was an experience.

May we suggest you to ask a different room next time, for example one of the "high" rooms in the recently refurbished building, that have higher ceiling, beds, and comfort. This spot is a gem! There is a great breakfast (different every day), complimentary fruits and welcome drinks, and beautiful historic rooms that have all the comforts you could wish for. The staff were incredibly helpful and the spot is within walking distance of Patan Durbar Square and a great shopping road.

素晴らしいミニホテルです。カトマンズ近辺で宿泊する機会があり、尚且つ空室があるのならば必ず利用するべきです。
リニューアルされておりますが、建物の歴史の古さゆえに天井が低いので、長身の方は特に注意が必要です。細い通りを走るバイクの騒音などが響くので枕元には耳栓がありました。地元行政による車両進入制限措置が待たれます。
