Lovely city center apartment

This cozy place is close to Central Market, Fulton Theater, Lancaster General Hospital, Prince Street Care, Horse Inn and so much more. You’ll love our place because of the convenience of the location, close to all that downtown Lancaster has to offer. Our place is good for couples, business travelers, or any party of 3 or less. Please notice, there is no off-street parking! See House Rules for more details.

The space
The Space – This beautifully renovated 1-bedroom apartment features all the comforts of home with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, a small backyard, and lots of living space. The entire apartment is on one floor, no stair climbing needed. However, the washer and dryer are in the basement.

The Kitchen is stocked with essentials (cups, plates, silverware, can opener, coffee machine and coffee); about what you find in a hotel suite with additional utensils for light cooking. If you would like to make more elaborate meals in home, bringing your own special tools is recommended. There are several excellent grocery stores close by.

Free Parking is available on the street in front of the home. Plus, North Queen Street garage is several hundred feet away. I would like to add that the neighborhood is one that we consider safe and fairly quiet considering the city setting. However, if you are looking for a quiet rural setting or a luxurious urban setting, our apartment is likely not the best fit for you.

Great location, just the basics, loud heater
The location is incredible…think of it more like a headquarters than a unit you’ll want to spend a lot of time in. Walkable to downtown and it’s a nice walk. Belvedere Inn around the corner, can’t beat that.The heating/AC unit in the bedroom is loud and rattles intermittently…we had noisemakers with us because we read about it in another review, but it was still too loud for my wife, she ended up sleeping on the couch in the other room and we cut our trip short by a day after several nights of that. The apartment was clean, just very basic/dingy. I recommend bringing your own towels. Can hear the neighbors in the stairwell but not a dealbreaker. Door could use a new front lock, was a little wonky and is on its last leg. We got very lucky and snagged a street side parking spot in front of the apartment but FYI, can’t do that on Tuesdays due to street cleaning. Odds are you’ll have to use the nearby garage. All in all, 50 a night is a deal for the location but a fair price for the unit especially if you have a pet. We’ll be back, but only for a short visit.

Great location!
Fantastic location where everything was super walkable. It was a bit on the small side but we were only there one night, so all good. There was a bit of an odd smell when we got there, but nothing overly offensive. Overall would most definitely recommend! Side note: check out Decades a block away for really tasty craft cocktails.

Quaint and Quiet
My husband and I stopped here for a night on a cross-country roadtrip, and had a wonderful stay. The property was clean and comfortable, and served as a wonderful place to relax after a long day of driving. There are a variety of local restaurants within walking distance, and the area is very pedestrian-friendly. I would highly recommend this place to others looking for a restful and quiet place to stay.

great price and location, mediocre stay
The check-in process for this apartment was very easy and as described. The home itself and the amenities were lackluster. It took me a freezing cold night to realize the heat no longer comes from a thermostat but from a wall unit that, once it was turned on, was very loud. The bedspread was thin. There was an extra in the closet that was also very thin. When I messaged for an extra blanket (before I figured out the heat) I was told the host was two hours away. Also there was no soap in the bathroom. The container ran out my first day. The towels are scratchy, and the pillows are flat. This place really needs some love.

Great location
My spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was adorable and perfect for our needs. I loved how it was right in the heart of Lancaster allowing us to easily walk all around the city, vising quaint shops, museums, library and restaurants with exquisite cuisine. We also took in a production at Sight and Sound theater. Lots to see and do in the area. We couldn't be more pleased. We highly recommend this lovely place full of whimsical charm.

Una piccola casetta proprio deliziosa
L’appartamento è in una posizione strategica per visitare Lancaster a piedi. Al nostro arrivo l’appartamento è molto pulito e profumato e tutto è in ordine. La struttura è ben studiata, all’ingresso c’è una cucina ben attrezzata, poi la stanza da letto ed un soggiorno a seguire.il bagno è piccolo ma ben strutturato. Abbiamo usato lavatrice e asciugatrice nel seminterrato, tutto è stato ok! Unico consiglio: per favore fate il codice d’ingresso un po’ prima. Un altra piccola cosa è che l’appartamento è poco insonorizzato e quindi non si ha molto privacy, ma per pochi giorni è davvero ottimo! Consigliato!

Wonderful space in a great location. Well stocked kitchen and bath, comfortable, very reasonably priced. Hosts were very easy to work with. Highly recommended. And try the Greek food next door at Souvlaki Boys. Lots of great bars, restaurants, shopping within the 3-5 block area.

Very impressed with everything about the stay. The location, the atmosphere, the price, and the accommodations or all excellent.. Host only messaged us at the beginning of the stay and we did not hear back again even after having reached out during our stay. We of course got by without, though a response or acknowledgement of message received would be nice for guests.

Nice little place
We stayed fir one night and it was perfect for our needs for a clean bed and bath. Prior to arrival, we were a little concerned when we had not gotten instructions on accessing the property before the day we were do to arrive but this was resolved with the help of VRBO customer service.

The property needs to have a better description. It does say that the parking is on the street, but it does not tell you that the neighbors (I watched), parked so that I couldn’t park in front of the property. The second night I had to pay $15 to park in a parking garage. Also, the apartment smelled so bad of mildew and mold, that if I had had another place to go, I would have left. It evidently had not had an occupant for some time. I have a picture of the mildew on the storage box that was in the living room area that had mildew on it. I tried to sit on the couch and read one evening and I almost sank clear to the floor! I am not a picky person, but I was very disappointed in the VRBO.

Good Spooky Nook Location
Stayed for a weekend tournament at Spooky Nook sport complex 15 minutes away. Nice place located walking distance to restaurants and short drive to other downtown Lancaster activities and shops. Street parking can be tricky but a parking garage is right around the corner.

Very nice experience
It was a great little place for the night or couple of nights, we enjoyed downtown Lancaster and found some great walking tours. Parking and driving is not something we wanted to fight with, so walking everywhere was very nice. Thank you to the host, great job at keeping a nice little place tucked into downtown.

The hosts were superb with their customer service. Immaculate home. The bed was comfortable. It was centrally located to many great places.
