Good home base

My friend and I came out to do some hiking, get out to Death Valley and Red Rock canyon and getting into downtown for a show. This was a quiet, clean home base. Lots of room and nice spa, it was too cold to swim. The pool was a little rough looking but definitely still nice and maintained. Heat was set a little high, so we had to keep readjusting.Overall, highly satisfied and true to post.

Thanksgiving family vacation

The house was very spacious for 6 adults and was stocked with most common needed items in kitchen and bath. We liked easy access to the airport. The master bedroom was very comfortable with hotel linens and a huge yard. We had a great family vacation air

We absolutely can’t say enough amazing things about this house! Just stunning and so comfortable…even with 2 Great Danes with us! Host is fantastic and super helpful with every little detail! We will absolutely be booking again!

Excellent luxe property! Beautiful home, grounds and pool! Property fully gated & secure in a quiet neighborhood. Property was exactly as listed & hosts were fantastic & responded quickly. This will be the place we book every time we stay in Las Vegas!

Most Gracious Host

We loved our stay and the convenience to the airport. The property is wonderful and secure. Plenty of room for 6 of us to be together and also have our own space. The host was very accommodating and supremely knowledgeable about all things Vegas. We will be back!

Wedding trip to Vegas

This was a lovely house with an excellent location for getting around Las Vegas. The owners were excellent with communication and very friendly. There were a couple small issues. The pullout sofa was uncomfortable and locating the bedding for it was a hunt. We couldn’t get the fans in the utility room or second outside area to work. We also couldn’t get the light on the one outside fan to turn off. Also, please clean the ceiling vents in the house. Although the area was great for getting around, it was not a very clean area with people seeing no problem dumping trash in the middle of the road. All in all, we had a lovely time and there was a lot to enjoy with this house.

Very disappointed, property not as advertised

Total bummer! Chose property for pool-swimming was to be main activity for us. Host accommodated request for early check-in. Unfortunately on arrival inside house was hot & NO cool water in house & pool water was so hot we couldn't get in the pool-it burned us (pool therm. read 115 degrees-hotter than most hot tubs-way above health dept. safety temp). I told host right away-Host apologized & claimed due to unprecedented heat wave in Vegas pool temp was high & other pools in Vegas experienced same problem (I researched this and this was not accurate). No offer to send pool maintenance. Pool was unusable and unsafe to swim in. I asked for fair comp. for the listed pool amenity not being usable (and I paid more for this property for the pool) & now had to pay for other pool/activities for 7-Host offered low comp.-I declined. I asked if it was possible the solar heating could be turned on-Host said no-but then suddenly pool temp. cooled down to 80's on second to last day of trip (but lots of algae). Obvious someone mistakenly turned solar heating on. Total ruined trip :( House itself is nice & close to strip but neighborhood is pretty rundown & homeless man w/ shopping cart slept nights in front of home-glad there was a gate. Host did not address issue or offer/provide fair comp. for lack of advertised amenity. It seems to me that someone mistakenly turned solar heating on & host doesn't want to admit it or provide fair comp. VRBO did refund me their reserv. fee.

We typically don’t respond to guest reviews like this, but we feel it’s important to set the record straight for future guests—and to give fellow hosts a heads-up about what really happened during this guest’s stay. Here are the facts: ** The guest stayed in late July during a historic heatwave in Las Vegas (there are national news articles you can search that will confirm this), with temperatures exceeding 120°F. ** We informed them that early check-in wasn’t available due to cleaning and getting the house ready for them, but they arrived two hours early and let themselves in. ** Despite claiming the house was "unbelievably hot," the thermostats showed a comfortable 76°F, and the guest later acknowledged this but still demanded it be adjusted further. As a note: guests are free to adjust the temperature to their liking at any time. ** Complaints about the pool being "too hot" for her kids weren’t shared by other guests. Before and after her stay, multiple guests enjoyed the pool and left glowing 5-star reviews. ** We offered numerous solutions, including a full refund if they found alternative lodging, paying for water park tickets, and even arranging bulk ice delivery to try to cool the pool, but the guest declined every option. ** The guest is now claiming we had secretly turned on the pool's solar heating, which was not true and is not how solar heating works. The pool naturally cooled down over time as outside temperatures dropped later in her stay. ** The guest later falsely claimed to VRBO that they couldn’t use the pool, but security footage showed them using both the pool and hot tub daily for hours a day. ** Unfortunately, during their stay, their children damaged our property, including vandalizing pool equipment, art, and landscaping, resulting in over $2,000 in repairs. ** Despite our efforts to provide multiple solutions, the guest misrepresented the situation first to us, then to VRBO, and now in this review, seemingly aiming for a free stay. In all our years of hosting, we’ve never had an experience like this. While we always strive to be accommodating and hospitable, it became clear that nothing would have satisfied this guest short of a free vacation. We certainly won’t rent to this guest again, and we encourage fellow hosts to be cautious as well.

All was good except

I understand that the contract states that the owner / maintenance staff can access the property at any time, I was very upset that a maintenance person just came into the back yard unannounced. NO prior phone call warning, no knock on the door which to me would have been the least the owner / property manager could have done. When I spoke to the owner about this he said " well this is like a hotel, and maintenance has to be done" my reply to this is that check in is not until 4 pm thus there is plenty of time to schedule maintenance prior to the guests arrival. The property offers a nice privacy, and some guests may want to sunbathe topless or totally in the buff. How embarrassing it would have been had that been the case. The only other issue I had is there is a board on the deck close to the jacuzzi that is loose, When I stepped out and did not specifically use the stairs I felt the board give. Had that been my 84 year old father who is much taller and heavier than I, there could have been a big accident! Otherwise the home was clean, very nice, and I was very happy with that.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the home and appreciate your suggestions. We apologize for the confusion with Joe, our groundskeeper. While our rental agreement and Welcome Letter mention visits for exterior maintenance, we understand it may not have been clear enough. Based on your feedback here, we've since updated the listing, rental agreement, and emails to be more explicit about this schedule so no future guests are taken by surprise. For clarity, Joe always knocks at the front door before starting work outside. According to our front door camera, he knocked at 12:09 PM but received no response before proceeding. After speaking with Joe, we were saddened to hear how shaken he was by the interaction he had on property. Joe is a kind, gentle person who’s always been respectful to our guests and we regret putting him in such an uncomfortable situation. Joe is truly a lovely member of our team and we strive to maintain a welcoming, respectful environment for both guests and staff always. Thank you for pointing out the loose board near the jacuzzi. We've now had a contractor assess it, and the surround will be rebuilt in the coming weeks. Your feedback here was very helpful and we appreciate it. We sincerely apologize for any disruptions during your stay and appreciate your understanding. We hope otherwise that your trip to Las Vegas was a fantastic one. Thank you again for your honest feedback!

Great Place to Stay

Loved the pool and foliage. Very private and relaxing! The property is very dog friendly which we truly appreciate. Lovely home, wonderfully decorated and very spacious. Owners had great communication. Access to the strip and I-15 is great. No problems getting a ride share or food delivery. Great place for a couples weekend or girls trip!
