Manger was rude and nasty and cancelled both booking even though i had already paid

Just so everyone knows, this guy meant 'manager' and that would be me. If anyone is rude and arrogant and scares female staff then I will not let them stay - even if they have paid. Having a booking or even paying does not give anyone the right to be a prick. All guests, especially females, need to feel safe and secure at the Arthouse, and I will not apologise for refusing someone to stay - if they scare the female staff, what will they do to guests?

Shared toilets and showers were always filthy, without graphic detail people don’t clean up after themselves, showers didn’t always flow. Kitchen was cluttered with too many utensils, pots and pans etc...(didn’t really look clean and we definitely decided to eat out then cook in). The furniture was well outdated, poor condition to use, chairs and couches full of dust mites. Sound travels throughout the facility to get a good nights sleep. The place it’s self is about to fall to bits. Price definitely not worth staying. Glad to have left and will never return

It’s a good place to stay as it’s central and close to the tourist attractions and supermarkets

Fabulous old building a short walk from the CBD and efficient check in. We booked a private double room and it was fine.
