A beautiful cottage in Kerry!

Springwell cottage is peacefully set in a slightly elevated position, overlooking Kenmare Bay, the open sea and the mountains beyond. The property is located along the Wild Atlantic Way in an idyllic setting on the Beara Peninsula. It is a great option for families, couples or friends travelling the South West of Ireland. Please note that the cottage is not suitable for children younger than 10 years. The cottage is furnished with everything you would need to make your holiday as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

Springwell offers a serene location, that is nestled privately in it’s own grounds. It is complete with outdoor seating, a small outdoor table and a BBQ. The cottage is a great option for those seeking a peaceful holiday base. Here you can enjoy walking, cycling, golf, horse riding and water sports or indeed just relaxing and drinking in the wonderful views.

The Healy Pass, sub-tropical gardens at Derreen House and Gleninchaquin Waterfall are easily reached from the property. You are also within driving distance to places such as Killarney, the Iveragh Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. Have an evening at the famous Teddy O Sullivans pier side pub approx. 1 and half miles from the cottage and join in with the craic!

Kenmare is a 12 mile drive where you will find shops, crafts, award winning restaurants and pubs with live Irish music most nights of the summer. Kenmare also hosts a Lidl, Aldi and Supervalu where you can purchase all your needs.

There is a Sailing/water sport adventure centre just a 6 mile drive away where you can have a meal in the Restaurant, book a trip around the Bay in the Star of Kenmare or even have a coffee while watching the world go by.

Interior details:
Springwell has two levels. The main living area is on the ground floor along with the main double bedroom and bathroom (shower only). The kitchen, living and dining area are open plan to soak up the panoramic sea views. There is a wood-burning stove in living room, with a TV and DVD player. The TV channels are mainly UK ones via satellite (such as BBC, ITV ,Channel 4). Reception for Irish TV channels is not available.

The open tread spiral staircase will then lead you to the first floor. Here you will find a comfortable Mezzanine with sofas perfect to enjoy some quiet time reading a book or simply relaxing. The mezzanine leads you to the second bedroom which has two single beds. This twin room has a private en-suite bathroom with a bath and electric shower above it.

Bed linen and towels are included in the price. Other amenities include: Satellite TV, DVDs, Microwave, Washing machine, Dishwasher, and a Fridge/freezer.

WI-FI is free, unlimited, and suitable for day to day general use including general browsing etc. Usually very reliable.

The cottage offers a fresh Water supply that is sourced from adjoining deep bored private well. Water quality is tested annually in a laboratory and continues to maintain excellent quality.

Wir erlebten wunderbare 14 Tage in diesem Traumhaus. Alles stimmte... das Haus, die Lage und das Wetter😁 Das Meer ist so nah, dass man das Gefühl hat vom Wohnzimmer hinein tauchen zu können 😀 Die Aussicht ist einfach unschlagbar. Ich kann dieses Haus zu 100% empfehlen und komme sehr gerne wieder.

Absolutes Ruheobjekt mit grandiosem Meeresblick
Wundervolle Ruhelage des Objektes in unmittelbarer Meeresnähe. Hier kann man auf der Terrasse hervorragend die Seele baumeln lassen. Hinzu kommt ein grandioser Ausblick auf das nahe gelegene Meer mit seinen tollen Sonnenuntergängen. Das Anwesen an sich (Haus und Terrasse) wirkte - vermutlich durch Corona bedingt - etwas ungepflegt. Hier kann man sich der (Vor-) Bewerterin Ruth anschließen. Zur Erläuterung und Definition evtl. unterschiedlicher Standards kann gerne Fotomaterial als Beleg übermittelt werden.

Nettes Haus in einsamer aber schöner Lage.
Das Haus ist eher schlicht eingerichtet aber mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Es liegt abgelegen, zum nächsten Ort braucht man mit dem Auto ca 30 Minuten. Dafür ist es ruhig gelegen mit toller Aussicht auf das Meer, man kommt nur leider nicht direkt ans Wasser. Der Garten ist eher ungepflegt und es fehlen Gartenmöbel. Alles in allem aber für einen erholsamen Urlaub und als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu empfehlen.

Ein idyllisches Paradies mit atemberaubendem Blick über die Bucht, überaus ruhig gelegen. Wenn die Wolken es zulassen kann man jeden Abend den Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse bewundern. Das Haus ist geräumig für 4 Personen, hat alles was man für einen schönen Urlaub benötigt.

A wonderful week
The location and facilities of the cottage far exceeded our expectations. The sunsets and also the rain showers with beautiful rainbows over the Atlantic were impressive. We enjoyed the nature around the cottage and the wild rocks at the sea as well as the cozy evenings at the fireplace or the visits to the various nearby pubs. A wonderful place to be-Mary and Mick.
This is our second year staying in Spring-well Cottage. As before staying in this bright, airy and so very comfortable house has been so invigorating. Sitting outside and gazing down on Kenmare Harbour , at the same time listening to the birds has been like a balm to the soul. The house has been so well maintained and provides you with all the home comforts, from kitchen utensils to warm electric blankets if needed. Where the house is situated you are never far away from all the wonderful sights on the Beara Peninsula. A little gem of a place !!

Die Wegbeschreibung des Vermieters war perfekt. Die Lage ist traumhaft - Ring of Beara. Durch die Lage und den großzügig ausgestatteten Terrassenbereich mit den vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten und der großen Fensterfront des Cottages selbst, kann der Ausblick u.a. auf das Meer uneingeschränkt genossen werden.

Mark and I were really impressed with our lovely house last week. It really felt like home from home. It's such a gorgeous house with views overlooking Kenmare Bay. We spent our first evening sitting outside watching the sunset. We walked to the local Bar Helen's food was lovely and Helen and the locals very friendly. House was very cosy for sitting in too. Plenty of space for 4 people. House was absolutely spotless, kitchen very well stocked even tin foil and kitchen roll. Bathrooms had plenty of fresh clean towels and showers were excellent. Check was very easy too. I will definitely be returning next year. Big thank you to the caretaker and Owner.

Excellent property. Quiet, in the middle of nowhere. Requires a car to get to. Beautiful view of the bay. Make sure to bring everything you need - the house had only a few spices. Recommend reading the guest book very carefully, as guests are required to take out the garbage on a specific day. Also, we asked about water and while there is a filtering system, the advice given to us by the property owner was to drink bottled water or boil. Not too much of an inconvenience, but something to keep in mind. We would be thrilled to stay here again! The pictures truly don't do it justice.
