Exactly what we were looking for

This property was better than the pictures showed. It was the perfect vacation home for my family, it was one floor, on the water, allowed pets. It checked all of the boxes. The hosts were so nice and accommodating, it made checking in and out that much easier. Looking forward to renting again next year!

Family Vacation

We had an amazing week at this rental with our 5 month old (as new parents!), our parents, and my brother. We were hoping to relive our own childhood Jersey shore memories with our parents and also create new memories with our little one and her grandparents and uncle and we were happily able to do so. This house and location gave us all the nostalgic feelings of when we used to stay down the shore over 30 years ago. The location was PERFECT offering peaceful mornings and beautiful evenings right on the water. The space also felt very private being the last house on a dead end. The neighborhood was friendly and provided great spaces to take daily walks. Swimming, crabbing, and fishing right in the back yard was a huge plus also! If the opportunity arises again we would be happy to rent this house in the future.

Fishing and crabbing from the back yard. Quiet neighborhood, deck was superb. This was an amazing place to decompress for a week. I wish i could have stayed for a month. All you need for a family of 5 or more.

The WORST experience we have ever had renting.

There was no communication prior to us arriving that wasn’t initiated by us. We didn’t know that we had to bring our own linens as there is no where on the listing that mentions that and we had to reach out to find out how to gain entry into the house. When we got to the home we were very surprised at how we found it: -both bathrooms were a disaster -the fridge was a mess -there was hair, dust and dirt on most surfaces but especially on the floors -there were many kitchen items that were dirty including hair in the coffee pot -the outdoor shower was so dirty it couldnt even be used -the air conditioners were full of black mold -the couch is ripped -the cabinets and drawers were so full of junk and what we would consider garbage that we couldn’t use any of them. -the beds are very poor quality (one is actually broken) and you cannot call two twin beds pushed together a king -the carpets are incredibly stained -the outdoor grill is so dirty we could not use it We have pictures that show all of this. We did our best to clean upon arrival. We cleaned other peoples urine and hair and dirt. We cleaned out closets, drawers and cabinets and disinfected just to be able to have somewhere to store our toiletries. The beach situation was very confusing. Because of misinformation from the host we spent $140 on badges that couldn’t be used. The host has offered $150 for all of this and has blamed us for not reaching out sooner, sadly we couldn’t wait to leave.

Please see reviews before and after this tenant. As owners we are always grateful for constructive criticism. However, there are a number of points that need be addressed. First, we apologized for the bathroom situation. We had it cleaned it professionally; unfortunately, the cleaning woman missed that area. When you called us, my husband went over immediately with cleaning supplies and our service was ready to respond. You stated that you had already cleaned it. Again, we apologize but we did try to rectify the situation immediately. With regard to the linen situation, we are enclosing a copy of our correspondence with you which you were informed that we do not supply linens. Also with regard to the beach badges, you were informed specifically where to purchase them. Chadwick Beach Badges are only used on Chadwick Beaches. We really do not understand why you went to Brick Beaches and expected them to honor badges from another beach. Again, a simple phone call or email could have alleviated your concern. See emails below regarding very specific badge and linen information. We have rented this property for several years and you are our first complaint. In fact, we have several repeat bookings already for next season. You were given our email address, you had our phone number, which you used to alert us to the cleaning situation. Every email advised you to contact us if you had any questions. We were on the island just 3 blocks away the entire time and we would have addressed any of your concerns, however, you did not communicate with us – until you left. We are confused as to why you did not reach out to us and instead waited until after your stay was over before giving us a chance to rectify any situation. This is definitely not fair to us. We do everything we can to ensure our guests have a pleasant stay and we are sorry that you did not communicate your concerns so that we could have accommodated you. Being in the hospitality business, I am sure that you are aware that unless the customer tells you of a problem, you cannot know their concern or displeasure. Your criticism will be taken into consideration, and we are hopeful that going forward you will advise any future landlord of any existing problems while you are in residence, because the way you have handled this, did not allow us to respond. We acknowledge that the cleaning service did not properly complete the cleaning of one bathroom. While they did clean the other areas, we were willing to refund the cleaning fee of $150. 00. The additional request of $140.00 reimbursement for beach badges is unreasonable due to the fact that renter decided to go to a different beach. Again, please see the numerous positive reviews before and after this tenant. If you have any questions just reach out. We are here on the island. I am sorry to say that home owners are not allowed to give their beach badges to guests. It is beautiful here. Family Vacation at the Shore

Great location. The house is functional ranch that worked out well for our family. The second bathroom, although small, was good to have. We enjoyed our stay.

Jersey Shore Sunsets

Spacious house & deck allowed for great entertaining of family and friends. Short drive or walk to the beach and enjoy beautiful sunsets at the end of your day. Loved the little tree next to the deck which provided welcoming shade on hot days.

It was a beautiful sunset experience being on the water
