3 Things to Think Twice About
I rented 3 homes for family this weekend, for a Fort Sill graduation. This isn't a bad house, just not what I expected. I selected this house mostly because of the "pool table/game room". Thought it would be a fun way to spend the day, with my son and extended family. The pictures are a bit misleading. The house is very small and the "game room" is actually a converted single car garage. I believed it was a full sized pool table, but it was more like half the normal size. Which would have been ok, had it been explained like that. We happened to arrive in the middle of the night, on one of the coldedst weekends of the year. Upon entering the house, we realized the heat was not turned on. It literally took until the next morning (10am) before we could actually remove our coats. Yes, we slept fully clothed. I reached out to the owner, but other than offering a space heater, not much else was done. (maybe a partial refund was in order?)The other item was the neighborhood. It was quite rundown and did not feel safe. On the flip side, this home was much cheaper than the other two homes I rented over the same time period. I'm not totally sure it's a fair comparison...but, I suppose you get what you pay for?
