Relaxing lovely location, like Cornwall but without the crowds and with better beaches.
Posted Sep. 2, 2024 on HomeAwayWe enjoyed the relaxing location just outside Le Molay Littry. It's 50mins from Caen in countryside like Cornwall, but without the people! We weren't aware it's right next to a cow farm but they weren't a bother, but there are a lot of flies, which we got used to. The house is a little sparsely furnished but spacious. The bedrooms could do with a chest of drawers each and there's room for them. Downstairs is a bit minimalist too. Some soft furnishings would break up the noise a bit. The town itself is not the best around but it's got a decent supermarket. We didn't go to any other shops or restaurants there! Bayeux is where to go for everything around there. Trevieres is nice too.
The location is super relaxing though and that made it worth the visit. It's a real dark spot at night so you'll see the stars no problem. It's very quiet and the wind through the trees on the avenue to the house is lovely. It's a good base to see all the D day stuff.
Best beach is the nearest one - Omaha, about 25 mins away, with miles of wide soft sand and hardly anyone on it . There all good though.
Things for the kids - Bayeux Aventure Parc is just fantastic and had evening concerts every Friday night for free, which were amazing. Normandie Luge is superb too and well worth the visit - the next level up from the other one. We didn't bother with festyland as I think it's for smaller kids. Mine were 11 and 12 at the time and loved both other parks.

Paradise in France
Posted May 27, 2023 on HomeAwayLoved the house. It was truly perfect. It was spotless, bright and airy and had everything anyone could possibly want or need. The setting is wonderful, very serene and calm with fields of cows grazing. Perfect for us. All the main D Day beaches were a short drive, small town and supermarkets nearby and Bayeux also a short drive. Natalie, our host, was so friendly and helpful. Would love to return.

Quiet, spacious and comfortable country home with great Normandy location
Posted Jan. 22, 2023 on HomeAwayAfter spending 5 busy days in Paris, this was the perfect peaceful home base for exploring Normandy. Easy access to the D Day landing sites and picturesque coastal towns. Lots to do in Bayeux just a short drive away. Easily made a visit to Mont Saint Michel on our last full day before returning to Paris for our flight home the following morning. Highly recommend and would definitely return! Nathalie was super helpful.

absolutely Fantastic Stay
Posted Sep. 5, 2022 on HomeAwayTh Property looks great online but it doesn't do it justice. It is absolutely fantastic in a beautiful area and well situated for travelling around the Normandy Area The rooms are spacious, and very comfortable.
