This beautiful and historical castle is located on the edge of the village of le Veurdre. A route to Santiago de Compostella runs through the village. The castle - built around 1400 - has an exciting history and is said to have been a camp of Jeanne d ""Arc. The first king of France also stayed there for a week. There are some great hiking and biking trails near the castle. Route Saint Jacques de Compostelle is 500 m away. The city of Nevers is 34 km away. Saint Etienne de Bourges Cathedral is 65 km away. In the summer it is wonderful to relax on the two large terraces. In winter you can enjoy the roaring fires in the large fireplaces.
