Perfect retreat close to town and hiking
Publié le 19 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time at this beautiful guesthouse property. We took advantage of the hot tub and heated outdoor bed. It was the perfect way to catch up with an old friend! Property has easy access to town and hikes, yet provided a peaceful place to land our heads at the end of the day. Clean, quiet and the stargazing can’t be beat! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Magical Babymoon

The house was so nicely located so close to town but yet you felt like you were farther away! It was located on a breathtaking property. The owners of the property were so respectful of our privacy and time here even though they live on the property we didn’t really see them. The kitchen was nicely stocked with cooking utensils and really spacious. The house was very clean and neat. The bathroom was really nice. The bedroom was a nice size. The outside porch with the swinging bed was an absolute dream. Waking up to birds singing and light on the top of the mountains was magical. I can’t image how dreamy it is during the winter. Best vacation spot ever.

Totally Relaxing and Beautiful Setting

The available activities (such as enjoying the great views and nature from she elevated deck and floating bed, relaxing in the hot tub, watching the smart TV, or going for an easy walk along the crystal clear and cold canal) kept our family entertained and not very motivated to go explore all the wonderful things in the Leavenworth area. It is a piece of heaven. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Fabulous get away!

Lovely getaway
Publié le 18 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a fantastic time staying at the Wooded Retreat Guesthouse. Close enough to drive to downtown, yet felt we were really staying in a cabin in the mountains. Very clean and also very thoughtfully stocked with anything and everything needed. Very highly recommend and hope to return!

Fall Color Getaway

Our hosts were very friendly and extremely respectful of our privacy. We felt very comfortable and the house seemed quite private. The home is very clean and well stocked including a few nice snacks which was a sweet surprise. The location is very close to Leavenworth and some great hiking trails we enjoyed with our dog. Everything was very cozy, but the outdoor heated bed swing I could have lied in all day and night.

Perfect for Two

Awesome, but…

We rented this place because the description said it was the whole house, but it is a guest house/mother-in-law style place and the hot tub is in between the garage and the main house which offers you zero privacy. So for a romantic getaway wife my wife on our 2nd anniversary, this was a lot awkward. I paid a LOT of money to get a place with a hot tub but this made the hot tub almost unusable for us. There were kids running around the property and their room, the kitchen and main dining area faced the hot tub. Not cool. Otherwise the amenities were great and the swinging bed was amazing!

Garry, we are so sorry to hear that it wasn’t 110% of everything you were looking for! We honestly strive to provide complete privacy and a great experience.
We try to be as transparent as possible and mention in our listing that “The carriage house is attached to our main house by covered breezeway, but completely private. We live next door in the main house, but provide 100% privacy for our guests. Guests will have complete and private use of the carriage house and hot tub which is located on the covered patio between the main house and carriage house.”
We always keep the blinds drawn on the kitchen window, and never go to that side of the house outside when we have guests. If our 5 year old son happened to wander over there while we weren’t paying attention we’re very sorry if it had a detracting experience to your stay.
