You came to Mount Gretna at one of the most beautiful times of year, when the trees are at their best color! We hope to see you again for another weekend, perhaps at a different time of year? Mount Gretna is a whole different experience in the winter!

Great Porch
Publié le 8 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayPlace was great. Big porch, 3 comfortable beds, easy parking with extra spaces in the church parking lot right next to the place. Only annoyance was having to bring our own sheets and towels, especially for those arriving from the west coast. And the check-in process required us to stop at a real estate agency prior to arriving at the property.
If you're going to Gretna you probably already know how special it is. Great weekend rental.

Thank you so much, Stuart. Mount Gretna really is special, and we love to hear that you found this cottage so comfortable! We agree that having to bring sheets and towels can be an inconvenience, especially to guests traveling by plane - Penn Realty plans to provide fresh linens (bed sheets and bath towels) at all of our rental cottages, this one included, starting in 2025. We would love for you to come again!

Great spot!
Publié le 29 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayLoved the location of this property. Little village was quaint and full of history. Place was clean and very nice. Check in/key pick up was easy and very close by. Property manager was very responsive with questions we had. Looking forward to visiting here in the fall next year.

Nice house in the Camp Meeting section of Mt. Gretna, PA
Publié le 23 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was clean with comfy chairs in the living area. Neither of the coffee makers worked.I couldn’t find the coffee grinder that was listed but it wouldn’t have mattered! Overall it was a nice place to stay. tv was cable, not streaming which we liked.

Thanks for the review, Debra. We are sorry you had an issue using the Keurig coffee maker - there is a switch on the back that must be pressed prior to loading and pressing the button to brew. We wish you would have reached out while you were here! We would have made sure you had it working. (We know how important coffee is!)
The living room has a large Smart TV with Comcast cable and an Amazon Fire Stick, and 2 of the 3 bedrooms have TVs with Amazon Fire Sticks, as well. Occasionally, storms will disrupt WIFI service to the cottage, but streaming service is definitely an amenity provided. We are so glad you had a nice stay, and hope you are looking forward to your next trip to Mount Gretna next month!

inside and out. Excellent AC on days it
was too hot for the expansive porch. Great location. You can hear the concerts from the porch but not too loud to disturb your sleep.

Cute house in a quiet community

Gretna community is very friendly and it was nice to get around without having to drive. There is a lake, icecream shop, and even a tiny kid library within walking distance. The inside of the house was clean, but the porch looked like it has not been touched in a while. We ended up cleaning it ourselves, so that we could enjoy that (very large) space. There was also no working coffee maker and the garbage/ recycling was not taken out for quite some time. I am hoping that the management company will address these few things promptly. Overall we had a nice stay.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a great review. We love that you found the community friendly, and it really is a nice break to walk instead of drive! We will take a look at the coffee makers right away. We appreciate you going above and beyond to clean up the porch. The owners recently hired professionals for yard/porch clean-up going forward, and the trash/recycling was removed immediately.

Quant cottage in Mt. Grenta

Only complaint was parking not designed for anything but compact cars and there was no curtains in bedrooms to help block early sun rise. Most appliance were ava that were listed except the crockpot and blender.

Parking in the driveway can be a little difficult, depending on the size of your vehicle. There is also a larger parking space right beside the driveway that guests may use, or the lot right across the street (when not in use for church programming). We made a note about the curtains and will relay this to the owners. The crockpot and blender are stored in the dining room cabinet - sorry they were missed. Thanks for leaving such a great, detailed review!

PA Vacation - August 24 - Sept 1 2023
Publié le 21 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWent with family in September to the renaissance festival and had great time. This house needs more than a thorough cleaning. Neighbor indicated owner has 2 big dogs. A quick vacuum and Febreeze does not constitute cleaning when urine stains are on the floor coverings and heavy dog dander is on the couch. Just went to another dog friendly VRBO and no sign of previous pets. We had to put the full vacuum cleaner out on the porch. As you walk up the stairs and get nose/floor level, urine again. We are not talking about 'that old house smell'. Would have also liked to have had some kind of window coverings on the downstairs windows. Don't like giving bad reviews so waited till we went to another VRBO. No comparison. Rug + couch needs professional cleaning or replacing. Cannot in good faith recommend this cute old house to others, sadly.
