Very low cost hotel. Check in fast with camera, no one was there. The pool broken, closed. The wort was the smell. Very bad. Never again.

The young man at the front desk was nice. That's the only good thing about this place. To access our room, we had to climb stairs outside to the second floor and try to access the door absolutely covered with dead bugs. Keys didn't work. A second set didn't work. Not helpful when you have luggage and food in 95 degree heat. Finally found a door that had been taped open. Room gross. Unable to change the channel on the TV. Fan in the bathroom sounded like it was ready to give up. Electrical sockets taped over. Dead flowers "decorating" the hallway along with a fly swatter. Fire extinguishers hadn't been inspected since April of 2022. Overall, better to avoid The Pilgrim Inn. Dreadful!

No one at the checkin desk. Everything done by phone. Had trouble unlocking the door to assigned room, but staff who arrived took care of everything.

Remote check in. Ice machine did not work. Continental breakfast not available on Friday. Soap-shampoo-conditioner unit was empty- no one cleaned our room with new towels-pool was not even filled-walls and carpeting filthy-clear evidence of an Absentee landlord. We traveled a lot and this was the WORST place we have EVER stayed in!!!

No one at reception, could not get to room.

I showed up with my daughter after a long drive and NO ONE was at reception. Late, it before midnight- not unusual for motel travelers. NO ONE answered buzzer. NO ONE answered phone. I had to stay in another motel after scrambling to find one at the last minute. I think this is some kind of zombie listing. I prepaid, no refundable through One Key and there was NO ROOM.

A DUMP - pay a little extra, and stay somewhere else. No joke: this was one of the most disappointing stays I've ever had at any hotel. I would give it zero stars overall, but that's not one of the review options. I don't often write reviews, but I felt a warning to others was in order so that they don't make the same mistake we did. The pool was empty of water (though the site said there was a pool), there was no staff on duty (probably because the place's bad condition invites complaints to the management), there was no hot water (and no explanation why), and the rooms were dingy and smelled like cigarette smoke poorly covered up by nauseating air freshener (despite it being an ostensibly non-smoking room). Some of the tenants appeared to be long-term and living in the building, and there are no amenities - not even morning coffee (despite the machinery being in the "reception" area). Our check-in was over the phone, and someone remotely watched me on a video camera as I self-served activating my room key. The worst part is that management and/or Expedia knew or should have known I was being overcharged for this shabby place - $170 ($190 with tax), and I saw it listed the night we (regrettably) stayed there for $100 cheaper. Someone is misrepresenting this place, and I will get to the bottom of it!! I feel completely taken advantage of.
