Lovely hotel, room was clean and had everything you need. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful and nice. Just wish the windows in the bedroom opened, would have improved the stay to have some fresh air!

I can't comment on the area around the property as we arrived late at night & left early in the morning. It was a convenient place to stop over enroute further south. Would definitely recommend it.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly welcoming and very helpful. We had a meal in the restaurant one evening which was good and again the staff were accommodating and made it a pleasant experience. The staff made it a pleasure to stay there with their customer service

Good place for an overnight close to A1M.
Great stop for an overnight. Friendly efficient staff covering lots of jobs cheerfully. Nothing else round about but the food was good. Sunday night stop so very quiet.

We stayed on the 18th Oct 2024 well what can i say the staff are amazing so friendly and welcoming especially the barman who unfortunately we didn't get his name but he looked after us both that night for drinks and dinner and hes so knowledgeable for the area . Food was great and well presented. Room was big and spacious unfortunately the bed was to hard they could do with having a mix of soft to hard mattresses so customers do have a choice, although the room was lovely and quite as we faced the road there's no way to get airflow in the room so we tried the fan in the ceiling but it didn't work so it was a little warm . But it was a great stay hotel is perfectly situated lots going on around the area perfect for Leeds and York with cheap train tickets going both ways we used it to Leeds £10 return for two whats not to like . I was supper impressed at check in, even given directions to a local petrol station, food and drinks in the bar were spot on for me, the room was very good including underfloor heating in the bathroom, nice early breakfast allowed me to get on the road just after 7am, only slight negative was the EV charger is not working, I would still give a 10 out of 10 overall would have been a 12 if I could have got a charge👍

Sorry give this a miss
I will start by saying the staff were fabulous but that is where my good report ends. How this place is classed as a Best Western Plus is a mystery. The room, whilst spacious and clean, was beige and unappealing. My view was of a rubbish tip with corrugated metal containers dotted around. The walls were not particularly thick so everything could be heard. The "restaurant" (I use the word loosely) was awful. The choice was extremely limited,with no healthy options that I could see. I ordered the chicken burger with salad which was basically a few lettuce leaves and a quartered tomato. No dressing at all. No condiments except for ketchup and brown sauce. Breakfast was slightly better in that they cooked it to order which was nice. The poached eggs were perfect but they got the toast wrong and the bread and calibre of ingredients was poor. Considering this was not a budget hotel, a BW Plus, I expected everything to be better than what was there. I would never stay again.

Good for an overnight stay
Room and bed was comfortable. No water pressure for a decent shower and the shower head needed tightening up or replacing. Restaurant needs a bitnof atmosphere. Apart from that, all good

Service from all staff was excellent and friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. Margaret in particular went above and beyond. Clean comfortable room, quiet and a great nights sleep was had Lovely cooked breakfast, grest continental selection, and friendly wait ataff. In all great value for money, will stay again.

The outside of the hotel looks very rundown, with weeds and rubbish in the flower beds and car park. The inside was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
