Basic Budget Busy
Publié le 23 sept. 2024 sur HotelsOne of the more basic budget hotels I have stayed in. Car park ridiculously busy. Coach party unloading & cars everywhere, including grass verges leading to hotel. They offer parking for duration of holiday. I will not use again in high season. Car park massive but not a space to be seen.
Long queue to check in so I grabbed a drink in the bar & looked at menu for evening meal. Very disappointed. They offer a buffet style selection for a fixed price. Things like pollock rather than haddock or cod, pie, ham etc. Several selections with same veg it appeared. Queue with plate like you would for a school dinner & or sunday roast to pick your pre-cooked food. Not for me!!!

Food awful did not book the buffet meal
Not enough room in the bar areas
Needs a full refurbishment of the bar area and restaurant. Will not visit again
Staff on reception were fine.

Bathroom tiny, very tired n tatty. Pre-booked breakfast to get in and the young girl allocating seats said due to wedding party we couldn’t sit together on a free table even though it was available just in case a wedding guest came down! We were offered two separate tables instead, though wanting to sit together as a family! Glad we left with a refund as breakfast didn’t look too appealing! Would not stay again!

Clean room but strange smell in bathroom (damp?) and not enough towels for 2 people (one bath and hand). Very busy but very few staff on. The whole place looks a little tired and in need of some tlc in rooms. The cat park was rammed and needed to park on a verge. Wouldn’t stay here again

Stay was lovely room very clean. Only downside is we only got 2 tea bags and no coffee. We had to use the tea bags twice. Went to ask a reception but the lovely lady in the desk was busy checking people in so I did t want to disturb her
