Booked this highly rated hotel from the US and paid a premium rate for the location ($90+/ room/ night). Booked the room based on lovely pictures on Expedia. Communicated with the manager many times before arrival, talking about needs, etc. Upon arrival was given the two worst rooms on the property--no view, barely any sunlight, bathroom under construction. NOT the rooms I booked, not the photos given and not the pricey rooms I paid for. The only plus was the beds were comfy and that they gave towels! The hotel was fully booked, they were minting money and building a new wing. It was noisy on the property, the garden was not enjoyable. They treated their foreign guests much better than their Indian ones. Waste of money and a scam. Only plus was that the women in the family were genuinely nice.

Away from the busy congested city center. Had high expectations given the reviews and price.

Missing pics of Rooftop Bedroom - misleading
Publié le 11 sept. 2018 sur HotelsThe Rooftop room images were not included on the website, hence upon arrival we were shocked to see how small the space actually was and nothing in comparison to the images on the website. It was completely misleading. The room was very small, just enough space to put in joined two single beds. Never the less the hotel owner did manage to help us to get to our new hotel we found online and negotiate price (we checked- out immediately on the first day).

Room was very cold
Publié le 22 mai 2018 sur HotelsThe Silver cloud guest house is a little out of the town centre. Twenty minutes down the dusty very cobbled roads. The residence itself we found rather dusty and very cold inside on arrival. Our room was on the roof and had no heating so we ended up sleeping in all our clothes. In the morning there was no hot water,the shower was literally freezing. Pleased to have only stayed the one night

Roads in Leh Ladakh, this season (summer 2018) is dug up and under renovation. Our guests have the options of taking the shortcut via sanker village instead.
We're sorry that we did not provision for room heating during your stay. We're installed central heating systems in our rooms, and we are due to start this winter.
