Six-Day Visit for Wedding
Publié le 26 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayI selected this property for our stay in Lenoir City for our son's wedding. The pictures really play up the property and I selected based upon that as well as the location, which was ideal. Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was that both of the large garbage totes were filled to capacity and remained that way throughout our stay (no garbage pick-up?). The next thing we noticed was that all of the landscaping had been let go and the lawn had not been mowed. No big deal but left me feeling that the property is not well cared for. Inside, it is bright and open - as shown in the pictures. The house was adequate, but the kitchen is lacking some basic supplies (e.g. baking sheet, serving utensils, etc) In fact, most of the cupboards in the kitchen are completely empty. The door to the main hall bathroom did not close without using force (needs to be adjusted) and the bathrooms could use a good deep cleaning. There was a laundry soap container, but it was completely empty so we could not start the washing machine as instructed upon departure. Overall, the property was okay, but did not impress. The owners are interested in their guests being happy but need to put a more effort into property maintenance.

Perfect wedding weekend

Wedding in Oak Ridge
Publié le 28 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayMy sisters, two husbands, and a niece were able to make a reunion out of this wedding trip, coming from Tennessee, Missouri, and Texas. Both the living room and dining room were comfortable places for us to gather, sort photos, etc. We also enjoyed the patio (though it got pretty hot in late June; an umbrella would help).
The house does accommodate six easily, seven if you use the couch. It wasn't quite the mountain view I expected, but it is a nice neighborhood with big yards all around, so we had the privacy we needed. And the kitchen accommodated our needs. Thank you!

Wedding Trip
Publié le 3 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was the perfect place for our family - us, son-in-law, daughter, and granddaughter - to have as a base during a busy weekend when we all were involved in a wedding. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and we all had our own personal space. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and the hosts were very responsive.
