A Nightmare in Lenox
Publié le 7 oct. 2021 sur HotelsThe Apple Tree Inn is a lovely property. You will not enjoy it. An email came today (late October), the inn proudly announcing live music almost every night of the week. Until 1 AM! We were there in early September when there was live music only on Wednesday and Saturday though nothing was said on the inn's website. Be careful if you are offered a for pay upgrade. We were placed in the room directly above the bar (now a bona fide nightclub) — though the racket will be evident throughout this venerable old wooden structure. Earlier that Saturday evening one of the owners approached us to entice us to eat in the restaurant by telling us there would be live music! At first it was flute and guitar folksongs, we were told it would go until 11 or 11:30. At midnight the two piece band had become an awesomely amped techno nightmare. At 12:05 I descended to say STOP. I was told they could not because people were having fun. The nightmare inside the bar did stop somewhat later, and the crowd moved outside, below our windows, the electric guitar strummed until 2 AM. P.S. there was no wifi signal in our $400 room.

The Apple Tree Inn is a very charming inn. Beautiful, historic room with a fire place. Wonderful pastries, fruit, and assorted items breakfast. Fantastic cocktails, burger, salad and fries at the Ostrich Room. Can’t wait to return.

Beautiful, serene grounds and an easy walk to Tanglewood music provide a unique experience. Our room in the lodge was simple but clean and comfortable. The morning continental breakfast (included) featured good coffee, lots of fruit, granola, toasted bread products and pastries, at tables in indoor or outdoor rooms with lovely views.

Need some TLC
Publié le 22 août 2024 sur HotelsWell, because this location is extremely old and has not been updated, it left quite a bit to be desired. The owners were wonderful as was their beautiful dog Max. The breakfast was lovely, especially when they lit a fire for us. The entertainment in their bar was great. We stayed in the lodge and as we entered it it had a very musty smell. I think with some TLC this place could be amazing.

Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HotelsIF you are looking for a great stay in the heart of the Berkshires, just steps away from Tanglewood, the Apple Tree Inn is for you. One of the few Bed and Breakfasts in the area with a pool, makes this place a great choice. In addition the friendly and accommodating staff were a bonus. The grounds are lovely and would probably be beautiful in fall foliage season. I will be going back to the Apple Tree Inn.

Publié le 11 août 2024 sur HotelsThis "resort" is set on a beautiful parcel of land. That's the good news. The lodge where we were put is in need of a complete overhaul. Nothing in the room except for a bed and a desk with two side tables. No easy chair or table. Electrical outlets coming out of the walls in both the room and in the public hallway. A/C unit non-effective and very loud. Mold and dirt in the bathroom.and one of our shower controls completely came apart day 1. There was never anybody at reception - there was a sign with a phone number to call to get someone to come. All this and the fact they charge an additional $15 per night resort fee make me say never again. Beware.
