We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent. Delicous breakfast and the extra emenities offered. Restaraunt choices were excellent. We will definitely return again.

We stayed at the Whitlock and was disappointed. The best part of the property is its outdoor garden and seating. The amenity information indicated a fire pit, there was one but no gas tank so it was useless . Also a complimentary continental breakfast. During the week the restaurant is closed but provided at the Constance. We didn’t see one other than staff other checking in. the person at the said someone would be at that desk until 10:00 pm however when our shower backed up and came close to flooding the bathroom, no answer at the desk and no call returned after leaving a message with the answering service. The pedestal sink in the bathroom was loose as it was coming off the wall. The decor is subpar for an in that points out when the Inn was built, unfortunately there wasn’t much in the way of antique furniture. Old couches and mismatched pieces.

Check in person very nice and did help. Room temperature not controllable. No person in the facility. Had to go to Constance for assistance. Bed tilted and could not be changed. The parlor set up

Beautiful building and considerate staff. It is ready to walk downtown from here and just as nice to spend a few hours reading in the porch.

The breakfast is mediocre-- coffee cold my first day (OK the second). No cereal except granola. Congested area.

The Dewey

Planned this overnight stay with the intent to have a B&B experience. I travel for work, so needed a change from chain hotels. This is a gem! I stayed at the Dewey, and would return for future stays. Located in an older home, it has beautiful outdoor space and gardens, a large library with games, a piano and fireplace. My room was nicely decorated and appointed and cool upon arrival (temps were in the high eighties), comfortable & immaculate room. Quiet location just a couple of minutes walk from downtown with shops and restaurants. The kitchen was stocked with fresh fruit, snacks, tea/coffee and ice--very nice touches. Breakfast is down the road at the check-in hotel, and the porch was available to have your coffee or meal. Just a wonderful find--I would highly recommend a stay.
