Run down cabin
Publié le 11 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery disappointed with this place. The floors were dirty and our feet and socks were filthy. I was in town for an event that I needed the oven for baking. The oven turned on and got warm but not warm enough to bake anything. It wouldn't even defrost my frozen meal. Very very disappointing.

I just tested the oven, it works fine. Heated to 400F very quickly.
Floors are mopped after every guest and were spotless when this guest arrived. We take cleanliness very seriously.
Any concerns about functionality or cleanliness should be communicated to me immediately during stay.

Great Stay for VMI Prospect Weekend
Publié le 20 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayAnother mom and I spent two nights in the Alone Mill Schoolhouse while our sons enjoyed a weekend tour of VMI. The house was close to campus and offered all the conveniences we needed. The setting was beautiful! I wish we would have had more time to enjoy our surroundings! Maybe we will stay here again if our boys become cadets!

We will definitely be returning in the future! Charles and Sarah were amazing hosts and answered any questions we had and provided us access to the the River from their adjacent property!!

Great quiet getaway
Publié le 15 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur stay was great. We are a family of 6 and the house had plenty of room for us. My kids loved the yard and the creek and the pool table. This was the best equipped rental we've ever stayed in. It had everything we needed as a big family from dishes to towels there were lots of extras. It was awesome for my toddler. There was a booster seat for the table, plug covers on outlets, and a pack n play. There were books, puzzles and games for every age. It was super quiet and the porch was great for coffee in the morning. We never made it to the big river, the creek in the yard was great. We recommend Rockbridge county pizza and pasta for dinner. Its by the superwalmart. And the Virginia Transportation Museum in Roanoke was worth the hour ride. We would for sure stay again.
