Way Past Needing an Uplift
My family stays at many Embassy Suites on road trips, so we've stayed at quite a few. This one has the same things you'd expect, like big, buffet breakfast with an omelet station and happy hour with free drinks every day. And the staff was very nice and helpful. But overall, the hotel just looks like it's physically been neglected for at least a decade. The interior of the hotel looks very old and dated. A couple of the fountains in the center were not working. Our room had a couple of spots where water damage was patched on the ceiling. The pillows seemed as old as the hotel: flat and lumpy. The handle for the shower was loose and coming off, same with the shower head. The carpet didn't have a smell, but it was just super worn and old. This hotel is in a great location. But it's sad to see how the owners have let this hotel go. It needed a remodel a decade ago.

Visit to the Ark
Everything was excellent except for a lot of gnats in the restroom. We must’ve smashed about 20 gnats and there were still others. Not sure if they are there because of all the plants in the lobby or if someone left food out prior to our stay. The breakfast was awesome! We had the made to order omelettes. The gnats didn’t affect our stay but hopefully there gone next time.

This hotel is older but the quakity is still good. Front desk and housekeeping were very reponsive when we needed bedding for the pull out sofa. The breakfast was high quality and the overall value for the price couldn't be beat!

First off, let me say we do like Embassy Suites and normally enjoy our stay. We’ve even stayed at this same Embassy before and loved it. Having said that, I was disappointed with our most recent stay. I realize it was Christmas night, and most things are closed. However, when I made this reservation, there was absolutely no mention that this full service hotel would have NO services for Christmas night. No food, no munchies/happy hour, not even a single bartender at their full service bar. Now…I’m not begrudging anyone having Christmas off….i totally get that. But when booking for this night, I feel,I should have been informed that there would be no food, beverages or services offered due to the holiday. If I’d known I would have made arrangements to have food with me so we didn’t have to have potato chips for dinner. Poor communication for those of us traveling over a holiday.

Beautiful property and spacious clean room with comfortable bed. Loved the Happy Hour and Breakfast included but was less than enthused with a parking fee. C’mon. Give your guests a free parking spot. Courtyard By Marriott does.
