Great Lexington Hotel
I love our stays at the Origin in Lexington. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff is helpful and friendly. The area is safe, has great shopping and many excellent food options.

The hotel falsely charged me the bill for a single night's stay three times. I had to put in considerable effort both in person as it happened and later via phone calls to the hotel and my bank to rectify the situation.

We stay here quite often and everything is usually great. This time, I’m not so sure how clean the bathroom was, not bad but not as good as usual. We were only given 1 wash cloth for two people. No make up cloth. When we asked for more bath linens none were brought up. Our little refrigerator did not work right. Woke me up in middle of the first night and the next night it was making the same loud noises, so we unplugged it. The front desk staff were not as friendly this time with the exception of the young woman who checked us in. Breakfast was great our se one morning there. Usually, everything is great at this hotel, but not as good this time. We will still stay again as it is usually great. Not sure this time.

My wife and I checked in after a long drive and only wanted a hot shower and a comfortable bed. The water would not get hot and the water pressure was very weak. My wife braved the cold shower, and I contacted the front desk. They transferred us to another room on another floor, so I packed our luggage and the new room temperature was 56° inside of the room. I turned the heat on, waited in the other room while my wife was dressing. It got up to 65° by 11:30 pm. We left drinks in the first room that we were no longer able to get into, so someone was nice enough to bring them to the new room, and I was able to explain to the same person who put us in the new room that it was 56° in the room, I had long Johns under sweat pants, long sleeve shirt, hoodie, long socks and a snow cap on, and she said I had bad luck and she would let management know. I mentioned something about my stay the next morning to the staff at the front desk, he made notes and said he’d pass it on. I haven’t heard anything back yet. Cute place, but I don’t think it’s much to ask for a hot shower and a climate controlled room.

Room for 4 only had two sets of towels. Refrigerator was extremely small. Not even college room size. No soap in shower soap dispenser and never filled during our 4 night stay. Carpet was not vacuumed when we entered or at any time during our stay.

Great hotel in a great location
We love Origins Lexington. It is located in The Summit at Fitz Farms. It is a safe, quiet location with many options for food and shopping within walking distance. The hotel is always clean, comfortable and friendly. Great food at the hotel restaurant as well!!

It's a beautiful, modern hotel. The only issue I have encountered is that the bathroom sinks are not very kid friendly. The faucet was nearly impossible to reach for my 8 year old.

I went out of my way to book this hotel because we liked the area, but most importantly because my daughter wanted a hotel with a bathtub. I made the request via Expedia and directly with the hotel. When we arrived, there was no accommodation made for our request and the front desk attendant was completely irritated by my request. We arrived at 11pm after a long day of my daughter competing We travel a lot for her sport. She’s often sore after training. When we realized this hotel had bathtubs, we went out of our way to reserve this property. It was such a spoiler to arrive and not only was our request not honored, but we were treated so poorly and given such a nasty attitude by the front desk agent. He kept saying “I only work part time and don’t know all of the rooms”. He made us feel very unwelcome and I would likely not return to this hotel because of the service. The rooms were gorgeous, but the water pressure in the shower was extremely low flowing. The beds were fantastic… good linens and plush mattress/pillows. The food in the restaurant was great and the restaurant staff were very friendly. There are other hotels in this area, which would likely be a better option.
