Outstanding client service. Nice and calm place for hiding away from noisy city. Amazing landscape. Recomended definitly. Recomendados.

The setting of the lodge is beautiful! It was so peaceful. We enjoyed the small pool.
Our room was very clean.
We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Food was delicious.
There are upgrades being done in some of the rooms and bungalows.
We would definitely return. Check in was so easy. Staff were very friendly.
The locatio is so close to the National Park Rincon de la Vieja, wehich was wonderful to visit.
If you enjoy the the serenity of getting away from the hustle of everyday life, this is a very nice retreat. We look forward to visiting again.
Adrian and staff are super nice and friendly. They will be there to help if needed. The property is beautiful with clean , renovated bungalows and good breakfast.. Delicious meals in the restaurant with reasonable price Thanks Adrian.

Beautiful property, but cottages are in need of some maintenance. The lock on our front door did not work - you could just push it open. I saw the biggest cockroach in my life in the bathroom at night. Rooms were HOT at night and the fan was old and not effective. Pool was maintained but small.
Breakfast was wonderful and staff were great.
I would not take the hike to the hot springs. The springs are definitely "Natural" not maintained and you cannot go in. I would turn around at the waterfall
Hotel is off the beaten path, but again a beautiful property. Its a far drive to any towns, so ensure you bring water and snacks with you - although there are no fridges to store anything
Nice place and friendly host. The lodge was great and we were happy to be able to eat there because after dark at 6:00 pm there is nothing around . The place is not very easy to find. You have to trust your gps.
Amazing hotel. Amazing property. Adrian was extremely helpful. Gave great advice. The hike to the waterfall and hot springs was great. Food also fantastic.
Very helping and friendly staff, we enjoyed our stay. Very close to Rincon de la Vieja national park.
Downsides: no wifi in the room and bad wall isolation.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Great location and spacious grounds but the place is a bit tired and shabby. Restaurant is OK but not great.
Our individual cabin was a quaint and quiet place to stay on expansive, landscaped grounds with a pool and pond. There was a trail behind the cabins, which eventually leads to a hot spring. We didn't have time to hike the whole trail but what we did was very nice.
Fortunately, there was a restaurant on site, because there was no nearby shopping available. We would have enjoyed having some kitchen facilities in the cabins though. There was plenty of room for a small fridge, cooktop and sink.
The lodge is near Rincon de la Vieja National Park so was a very convenient place for us to stay and the staff was helpful and friendly.
This is such a unique and wonderful place BUT not for everyone. Location is perfect if you are visiting Rincon de la vieja. We drove for 40 min on gravel roads with big holes to get here. Its in the middle of nowhere so make sure you have everything you need before you get here. There is one restaurant on site and one bar. Compared to the price of this lodge the restaurant is expensive and does not have a great selection but every one are super nice. We would use the restaurant to access internet since there is no internet in the rooms. This place is beautiful but its very basic. No AC the staff are all super accommodating and want you enjoy and have a great time.
My first impression this hotel was what a beautiful place. The gardens are well kept and the pool looked inviting. However, the word basic comes to mind when you enter your accommodation. There is old paint splashes on the floor. The curtains are flapping about because of the large gaps in the window frames and walls; it's very windy here. No mosquito nets, complimentary water or coffee. The bathroom reminds me of a run down camp site's latrine. The sink moves if you touch it. No toilet roll holder etc. The food in the restaurant is OK and the staff are very friendly and do their best to help. It's worth mentioning, if you don't have your own transport unless you are a walker you are isolated because there is nothing close by.

We decided to go for a hike to the waterfall and to the sulphur pool. It was a 4 km hike. The waterfall was small and the sulphur pool was not well-maintained. When we arrived back at the lodge, we noticed that we had ticks all over our bodies. We thought we had removed them off and then went to an adventure park with Sulphur pools and mud bath. When we came back to the lodge, we found even more ticks on us. The room was OK but the beds were very uncomfortable and there was no air-conditioning which was fine because there was a fan. Unfortunately, the fan was very loud. The staff were very friendly, which was a plus. The burger I had was not very good. There wasn’t enough staff. There was one bartender that was going between the bar and the restaurant. The grounds were kept up well. Unfortunately, I probably wouldn’t stay there again, but that was just me.
Beautiful grounds and a swimming pool. Traditional food options were delicious, as well as the included breakfast. Nice hike from the property but watch out for ticks. You do have to pay $3 USD to pass through the park to get to the hotel so have some USD or Colones. Overall a beautiful spot with more rustic rooms.
Beautiful property, laid back, beautifully simple. The food is not very good, I recommend to eat at nearby restaurant. The property and staff make it a nice place to unwind and savor nature and simplicity.
