Welcome to Sycamore! This newly refinished and decorated ranch home provides you with all the comforts you need. The streamside location (that's Mill Creek, one of the finest trout streams in PA) with private back yard space lets you stretch out and release a little before you go to town! You'll find easy parking and a few steps to the MAIN/BACK/REAR entrance. The rarely used front entrance has 3 steps and can only be open from the inside. You will see as you pull in that the back yard and landscaping are a work in progress! Please don't get your shoes muddy, there is still plenty of space to roam, and I promise it will be finished for your next visit!
If you are looking at this listing, you probably already know a few things about Ligonier, and now you'll have found the perfect spot to enjoy all it has to offer!

We loved this property. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us (2 couples). Very comfortable, cozy and quaint. The kitchen had everything you need, the outside area was great and the location can’t be beat. Rick was great to deal with very responsive & accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Little Getaway!
Perfect little house in the woods! Attention to detail was a plus, our hosts truly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable! We were visiting Family in the area and I stayed here with my adult son and his fiancée. The house was very clean and beds were comfy to sleep in. It was the perfect place to relax and have alone time after spending long days running around with relatives!

2nd Stay - Still Great!!
This is my 2nd time staying at this property and it is still one of the best VRBO homes I have rented! There were some yard improvements since I was here in July 2023 and everything is looking great. The home is immaculate, has everything you may need and is just a lovely home to stay in - I have family in the area and this is a perfect property for me to come visit them. Really close to so many things to do, easy to get to and find, check in is very easy and Rick is very accessible if you need anything or have any questions or issues. Definitely will be coming back in the future!

If looking for a beautiful home away this is a must stay. My girls rode electric scooters in driveway. I enjoyed the bunnies and deer on property. Safe neighborhood. Short drive to ligonier for food, ice cream and bowling or spending the evening in and grilling.

A real gem!

Sycamore retreat
My husband and I booked the Sycamore in order to visit family in the area. The house was incredibly clean and well-appointed. It’s the perfect mix of new upgrades and old house charm. Very quiet and peaceful. It’s a long ride from upstate NY, but we are already looking forward to our next trip in warmer weather. Thank you, Rick!

I’ve stayed in many a VRBO / "other short stay company whose name is blocked from appearing here". Sycamore is far and away the nicest, most complete and best equipped I have experienced. Highly recommend the hosts - they have thought of everything and are a pleasure to communicate with.

A VRBO Gem in Ligonier, PA
This was my first time renting a VRBO, and I don’t think I could find a better rental. I’m batting a thousand on the first at bat, and we’ll be back to stay here again. The house is picture perfect adorable, updated with modern amenities, and so thoughtfully appointed with everything you need. It’s clear the owners view their property through the eyes of the guests. The kitchen and bath are updated so nicely, the beds are comfortable, and the living room is spacious for our family of four to gather. But the back porch is sublime. I loved taking morning coffee from the kitchen Keurig machine and sit there in the mornings and relax. Easy check-in, and we were greeted with a home baked treat on the kitchen island. It felt like home from the start. This property is conveniently located to everything in and around Ligonier, by car. I highly recommend it.

Family Reunion
Sycamore was just as advertised and even more amazing in person! Decorated beautifully, extremely clean and well kept, so many personal touches and extras for visitors, including a sweet treat which was so good! Location is perfect for getting to Ligonier, Latrobe, Derry and Greensburg. Close to anything you may need store-wise, but so quiet and serene sitting out on the back porch. I definitely will be returning - one of the best VRBO properties I have rented by far! Thank you, Rick, for being such a great host! Can't wait to return!

Best place ever
Stayed a couple nights over July 4 holiday. The home suited our needs well. Decorated nicely, had everything we could need. Very comfortable and good location in Westmoreland county. Hosts are very responsive to questions. We have stayed in a few places from Pa to Ohio and this place was by far the best rental home we have stayed in so far.

Fantastic property and owner
We have been staying at VRBO properties for 20+ years and this is the best property that we have ever stayed at. The hosts created a cozy, homey atmosphere with everything that you could need for a wonderful stay. Ths hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided excellent hospitality including a surprise home made 'treat' upon arrival. The lighting is fabulous all throughout the property and there were many electrical outlets. There are many little extras in the property, such as Keurig cups, creamer flavors, cell phone charging cords, extra towels and paper products. There is also a very nice porch to sit on in the back of the house. The back yard landscaping still needs to be finished but this was disclosed in advance by the owner. We would definitely stay here again.
