WiFi was not working during our entire stay 🙄 breakfast is mediocre.

Dear Sir. Indeed Wi-Fi was not working almost half of the month of September now new Wi-Fi provider is providing and we are having high speed Wi-Fi service in hotel. Thanks Abdul jabbar Crown hotel Lilobgwe Malawi.

The only reason why I didn’t leave during my stay was because everything was paid in full, and I wasn’t in the mood to deal with the refund issues. During our entire stay the WiFi was not working...and when we asked it was always “they are working on fixing it.” Some of the staff need more training in customer service.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!! Staff couldn’t care less. Hotel was full of prostitutes so we asked to terminate our reservation and cut our stay short. I gave 48 hours notice that we were leaving. Hotel has refused to refund the rest of my stay, costing me over $750. I spent a month trying to get the money back. Owner eventually said he would refund after I involved a local community member, but I never received the refund.

The staff is kind, it’s close to shoppin Mall and sososo bus terminal. The bed is big, room is clean. I wanted to go early morning to Mzuzu, but I didn’t catch taxi, but the staff bring my bag to bus terminal by walk as same price. I misunderstood with Clown lodge, it’s seems different accommodation, should be careful especially arriving at night time. The pot didn’t work, a bit loudly music neighbor on weekend.

Crown hotel is located strategically in heart of the business district of the town. The staff are excellent and hospitable people. The building and the facilities require overhauling and regular maintenance. I battled with mosquitoes, ants, and cockroaches throughout the stay. They however provided mosquitoe net for me to sleep in. There is a restaurant with limited choice of menu especially for international guests. Breakfast was average but they need to upgrade their cooking skills. The eggs! There is no bar for relaxation in the evening which makes life boring. Overall, I'll rate my stay average.

Room clean and bathroom clean but fittings all rather “tired”. Staff very pleasant and helpful so ok value for money

Uncomfortable place

I came back after one day as per my booking. I had left a piece of luggage for storage and I received it back without any problem. Staff polite but as in my stay 2 days earlier, the air-con did not work. At least this time, I was informed at check-in there was a problem with the air-con and a big fan had been provided. Interestingly, two days earlier when I had complained to the duty manager there were so many problems, he promised me a good room when I come back. I said "I'll believe it when I see it". Unfortunately, I was right to be skeptical about his "promise". Clearly there are many rooms with defective air-con or they have no understanding of customer service or just do not care behind the polite talk and smiles..
