Do not let the pictures fool you. These pictures are not for this hotel. The king room is just a small box. The window is facing a brick wall. There is no couch. There wasn’t even a bath tub for my kids to bathe in. Tiny shower. We couldn’t wait to get out of there in the morning.

Hello Marina, We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. I took a look at the room you booked. It shows a SEA KING which as advertise is a non-ocean view room. Beachfront Manor is an older building so the room are not as big as a modern built structure. But is still very nice. We do have only a walk-in shower in that room. You put there were 2 adults not 1 adult and 2 children and was given approval to stay in that room even thou you were over occupancy. Had you booked and given correct information we would have made sure you were in a room to accommodated your whole party. We do hope if you decide to stay with us again that you contact the property to make sure you are selecting the right room for the right number of guest for your stay. We do hope you have a great day!

Hi Warren, Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We do have in our description that stairs are required to access room. However, we are happy to hear that our amazing GM moved you over to our Starfish Manor at not additional cost to you and went above and beyond to assist you.

Terrible experience… no bathtub, no hot tub…. Did not have AC just a nasty box fan, extremely dark lights.. heater did not work some gas thing woke up freezing…. We were on our honeymoon and asked to be moved to a hot tub room they said no not unless we paid for an additional 2 days.. we had a pretty basic place for our head at night.. the office is not on site at night you have to walk in the dark to a different hotel down the road.. I am just ver disappointed in their service.. not even a help with accommodating anything knowing it was our honeymoon the manager hung up on me… I do not recommend.. they also own the starfish manor fyi

We are so sorry your stay was unsatisfactory. Here on the Oregon Coast our hottest days are rarely over 70 degrees, and with the cool ocean breeze, our quaint and cozy buildings and beach homes aren't built with ACs. Even on our coldest nights, if left on, the gas fireplace can heat guests out of the room. The hot tub rooms you requested at the time are mandatory 2 night stays, and are very popular! We are unable to adjust or accommodate changes to third party reservations and bookings. The walk down to the Lobby for the Beach Front manor can be daunting--but we are a phone call away here at the front desk. If you consider a second chance with us at our Starfish Manor we will do our best to make it something special!

The pull down shade in our room was broken and the curtains were not enough to keep out the light. There was a light right outside the window so it was always bright in our room, even at night. There was no ac, and just a rusty old fan. So we had no choice but to keep the windows open for some air circulation. But the people next door were having a wild party and the hotel staff allowed them to continue all night. Also, it’s five stories but there is no elevator so be prepared to carry your things down and back up several flights of stairs.

Hi Carolyn, The front desk staff went down to your neighbors room twice during the night, and didn't hear anything other than the guests in that room talking at a normal tone. The manager Saturday morning offered to refund you the 2nd night if you chose to leave early, but due to the report given from the night person, she was not going to ask the guests in the room next door to vacate. In the room description, it does state that stairs are required to access this room, as we do not advertise that there is an elevator, nor do we advertise that we have AC.

Good proximity to food and the casino. It’s a little tricky to check in because you have to go to the hotel next door to do so. But the staff was friendly, the room was very clean and lovely. There is no A/C so I can imagine on a really hot summer day it would get too warm in the room. However, I don’t suspect that’s a big deal all too often. Would stay again for sure.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights here.
The Bad:
1. Cold handle on water jet tub was stripped and would come off in your hand. It still worked but, we had to careful.
2. No fan in the bathroom so if anyone had to go #2 it was shared with everyone else in the room. 3:The outside deck area could use some TLC. Alot of chipped paint on the door and rails.
4: Medium sized burn or stain on sun shade that made us think twice about what it could be.
5: 51 stairs from our room to the parking lot if you have a room right on the beach. Its doable, but if you're not prepared, its brutal.
The GOOD.
1: Lets start with the view. Impeccable! Its everything you will want in a surfside room. No one was as close to the sand as we were.
2:Beautiful room. Everything looked classic modern. The sink faucet was modled after a bamboo water feature, and there were beach rocks in the clear hand soap dispenser that kept with the beach vibe. Wondeful small touches. It looked exactly like the photo, even down to the bathrobes.
3: The big jet tub. Oh boy. This thing is great for us bigger folks. I havent been able to stretch out in a tub since I was a kid. The jets were great on my tired body after walking on the beach all day. LUXURIOUS. Highly recommended if you're taller than average.
4: Once you close the windows and door its super quiet if thats what you need to sleep well.
5: Wolfgang Puck coffee and water bottles complimentary.
We would definitely stay here again. 4 stars!
